PodcastsRingside Politics – It’s the old black against white card again by JEFF CROUERERingside Politics – It’s the old black against white card again by JEFF CROUERE Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith has come out to make an ad supporting President Obama’s re-election bid. He has said that since Obama is black, the black community should get behind their man. Imagine if Mitt Romney had a prominent white celebritiy wanting to rally white support for Mr. Romney. There would be rioting in the streets, yet the media gives this one a pass. Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. Kovacs Perspective: High Gas Prices What’s The Big Deal? by STEVE KOVACSHigh Gas Prices What’s The Big Deal? by STEVE KOVACS So, what is the big deal about rising gas prices anyway? Here it is: IT KILLS THE ECONOMY FOR THE AVERAGE CITIZEN! Don’t be blinded by the rhetoric that states $3.50-4 per gallon is acceptable when adjusted for inflation; it simply isn’t. When gas rose to $4 per gallon in 2008, it crippled our spending power and was a major contributor to prices rising across the board. Since the rising gas prices are a major contributor to the inflationary cycle, you cannot say that inflation adjusted high prices are fine. What we need now is leadership that will put the interests of the USA first and doesn’t pander to our enemies. Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Kovacs Perspective: Iran’s leaders are stupid by STEVE KOVACSKovacs Perspective: Iran’s leaders are stupid by STEVE KOVACS What do the leaders of Iran hope to accomplish with their latest round of insane moves? First, they decide to “cut off” oil supplies to England and France as a response to the sanctions imposed by those countries. What affect will this have? NONE! England had already stopped importing oil from Iran and the amount received by France adds up to less than 3% of their total oil imports. Next, the leaders of Iran are doing everything they can to provoke an attack from either Israel or the US. What could possibly make them believe that this is, in any way, a good idea? Sadam Hussain thought that his massive army could match up to the might of the US and we all saw how that worked out. All of this is shear insanity; Iran’s leaders are just being stupid. Strange times are here when Ron Paul is our last and best hope? by ROGER FREDINBURGStrange times are here when Ron Paul is our last and best hope? by ROGER FREDINBURG Strange times we live in now. After carefully looking at the potential GOP challengers, I have determined that only Ron Paul offers any hope of having a president who actually wants a government that is run by the tenets of the US Constitution. Neither our current president nor congress is interested in following its boundaries. Recently President Obama met with his future Chinese master in the oval office and the next day congress moved us one step closer to full communism. People, we are being set up for a fall. There is no longer any limit to the duration for unemployment benefits so why even try to work? In fact, we should just all stop working, stay home, and let the government retire us for life on borrowed Chinese money. As for Social Security, with the payroll tax cut extension, you are now borrowing from your future to spend today. Forget about tomorrow, it’s all about today. Your vote has been bought and paid for by your grandchildren’s future. Wake up! Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Ringside Politics: $5 per gallon gas courtesy of President Obama by JEFF CROUERERingside Politics: $5 per gallon gas courtesy of President Obama by JEFF CROUERE Looks like this summer is going to be a miserable one; not due to weather, but due to the chance that gas will go as high as $5 per gallon. Thanks to the ongoing efforts of our president to serve radical environmental concerns, we now are set up to be more dependent on foreign oil that ever before. His foreign policy in the Mid-East has emboldened Iran as threatens to destablize everything, his wholesale stopping of drilling in the Gulf of Mexico has crippled the US oil production, and now President Obama has said no to the Keystone pipeline and killed both jobs and oil availablity to the US. The big winners here are Iran and China; all the our expense. Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. Ringside Politics: The rise of Rick Santorum will bring out the Romney attack machine by JEFF CROUERERingside Politics: The rise of Rick Santorum will bring out the Romney attack machine by JEFF CROUERE Finally a real conservative has emerged from the pack in Senator Rick Santorum. His rise in the polls has presented front runner Mitt Romney with a real challenge. Sen. Santorum had better be ready as this threat will bring the Romney attack machine out in full destroy mode. Just look at how Mr. Romney’s team crucified Newt Gingrich. Rick Santorum is a real conservative while Mitt Romney is a moderate imposter at best. The GOP has a real chance to beat President Obama in November, but only if the put a true conservative up against him (not another establishment ordained candidate with nothing to offer). Kovacs Perspective: Santorum, Santorum and Romney by STEVE KOVACSKovacs Perspective: Santorum, Santorum and Romney by STEVE KOVACS Rick Santorum has made a recent charge in the GOP nomination process by winning a couple of state caucuses and a primary. He is now raising more money that ever and poses a threat to Mitt Romney. Unfortunately, it is believed that Senetor Santorum cannot beat President Obama in the fall. His hard stances on many issues might make him unappealing to many moderates. As for Mitt Romney, he is making the shift to being a conservative yet he has a history of supporting liberal causes that will be difficult to defend. Ringside Politics: George Soros likes Romney by JEFF CROUERERingside Politics: George Soros likes Romney by JEFF CROUERE It looks like George Soros has weighed in on the GOP Presidential race. When asked, Mr. Soros stated that he saw very little difference between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama. When it comes to government run health care or tax increases, both seem to share the same view. The only difference, in Mr. Soros mind, is who will surround Mitt Romney; conservatives or fellow middle-of-the-road liberals. Let’s hope it is very conservative people who work with Mr. Romney as it appears we may be stuck with him. At least George will be happy. At this point, it looks like Mitt Romney is going to be the guy to go up against President Obama. Looking at Mr. Romney, he does have strong business acumen (something we need right now). Our country is in dire need of a strong business turnaround and this is right in Mitt’s wheelhouse. His campaign skills are sharpening up and as such he may present a formidable opponent for the president. Mitt Romney also seems to have boundless energy on the campaign trail, again a strong and needed trait for the fight ahead. Look at him closley to be sure if he is the right one and vote accordingly. Ringside Politics: TSA’s abuse continues by JEFF CROUERERingside Politics: TSA’s abuse continues by JEFF CROUERE Once again we are seeing the TSA abusing someone in the American public. This time it was Senator Rand Paul who fell victim to what has become a complete joke regarding national security. When Senator Paul went through the x-ray scanner, and anomoly appeared. Instead of rescanning, the TSA agents determined that Senator Paul should be subjected to a complete pat-down search. When the senator refused, he was detained; causing him to miss his flight and scheduled appointments. When are we going to wake up and demand that this nonsense stop. How many grandmas and US Senators have ever bombed an airplane? We need to rethink our approach to national security and start protecting our citizens, not abusing them. Ringside Politics: The liberal media’s epic fail by JEFF CROUERERingside Politics: The liberal media’s epic fail by JEFF CROUERE Once again we have seen an attempt by the liberal, left-wing media to derail a GOP candidate. This time it was ABC and their decision to run a potentially damaging interview with one of Newt Gingrich’s former wives two days before the South Carolina primary. In this interview she claimed that Newt wanted an open marriage. But, instead of creating chaos in the Gingrich camp, it provided and opportunity for Newt to expose the media fro the frauds that they are. Further, Mr. Gingrich was inadvertantly aided when CNN’s John King asked him about it with the opening question of the final debate before the vote. By doing this the liberal media not only didn’t harm Mr. Gingrich’s chances of victory, they most likely helped to seal it for him. Once again, these hypocrites continue to try and dig up every little detail about the GOP candidates while completely ignoring anything about our current President. Shameful! The respons was a pure case of dodging. Mr. Carney deflected the question and went on to speak about the campaign instead. While the media grills the GOP candidates about every minute detail of their lives, Mr. Obama continues to get a free pass. Mr. Romney is the prohibitive favorite at the moment but Mr. Santorum is looking good and Mr. Gingrich is showing the signs of being a come from behind dark horse. This race is shaping up to interesting for at least a few more days. Ringside Politics: Why would Michelle Obama ever be angry? by JEFF CROUERERingside Politics: Why would Michelle Obama ever be angry? by JEFF CROUERE CBS reporter Gail King recently interviewed First lady Michelle Obama. Their discussion focused on a recent book by a New York Times writer that labeled Mrs. Obama as “an angry black woman”. While I am sure that being around Rahm Imanuel and Robert Gibbs would create enough conflict to upset a person, Mrs Obama really has no reason to be perpetually mad. After all, she has nearly unlimited access to free world travel in her own private plane, lavish vactions to any place on the globe, and extravagant parties. If she and the president want to go on a date night for dinner in New York city, followed by a show, they can just hop onto Air Force One and go. Of course all of this is very expensive but why should she care, we (the tax payers) are all footing the bill. I really can’t see any reason why Michelle Obama is anything but happy with her life right now. Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Ringside Politics: The heat is turning up…good! byJEFF CROUERERingside Politics: The heat is turning up…good! byJEFF CROUERE The GOP presidential nomination process is moving into a new phase. As it does, the heat between the candidates themselves is increasing. Many of the national pundants are now lamenting that this is not a good thing. They seem to believe that all of the debates and focus on the GOP will somehow help President Obama. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. Steel sharpens steel and with each debate, these candidates grow in confidence and polish. The hope here is that this will be a long, drawn out process that extends to the convention floor. The candidate who emerges from this process will be strong and ready to take on the president. The continual coverage from all of this will serve to give the GOP front row presence in the eye of the public. Ringside Politics: Big money wants Mitt Romney by JEFF CROUERERingside Politics: Big money wants Mitt Romney by JEFF CROUERE As the presidential election season heats up, it would appear that a couple of trends have emerged. First: the big money donors are favoring Mitt Romney’s campaign. This is understandable since he is a moderate and a favorite of the traditional establishment in the GOP. Second: the more grass-roots movements want someone else, someone who is more conservative. The bottom line here is that if the establishment has its way (unlike 2010 when the tea party ruled) it wil get Mitt and we will probably be stuck with another 4 years of President Obama, not to mention the ruin of the GOP. What we need is for a true conservative to rally support and for the pretenders to step aside. As long as we have too many choices, there will be no stopping the status quo. Between Congress and the President, we have no control being exercized over spending in DC. With our national debt now standing at $15.2 TRILLION, no clear leadership is coming from the White House. Temporary stop-gap bills and patches will do nothig to restore hope in our future. Until we get rid of the problem, nothing will change. President Obama is a large part of the problem. Under his leadership (cough, cough) we have added over $5 TRILLION to the debt. That is an increase of close to 1/3 of the total debt in just 3 years. President Obama has added debt at a rate more than 3 times that of George W. Bush (and he was a big spender). This is not only laughable but it is borderline treasonous. Ringside Politics: President Obama’s Vacation from Reality by JEFF CROUERERingside Politics: President Obama’s Vacation from Reality by JEFF CROUERE Our president is on a vacation from reality. The evidence of this can be seen in a recent interview on 60 minutes where President Obama RANKED HIMSELF among the top 4 presidents in history. He placed himself with LBJ, FDR, and Abraham Lincoln. First, only President Lincoln and possibly FDR could ever be considered in this list as a top 4. Second, President Obama is now where near the top of the great presidents list. No single president has ever increased our national debt more, failed more miserably at restoring our economy, embarked on an apology tour with our foes, hired more known communists as “czars”, been friends with terrorists, or spent 20 years under a racist pastor. Mr. Obama was elected to office with no real accomplishomets or experience and has proven multiple times his complete lack of understanding of the reality of his job. Time magazine has dubbed the protesters as the “Person of the Year”. From the occupy wall street members to the street protesters in Egypt, Time has given their honor to those who trumpet the need to destroy freedom, end capitalism, and set up socialism. Last year, another protest group emerged and had a profound affect on our nation: the Tea Party. Of course those folks didn’t destroy public property or call for the fall of our way of life. No, they simply abided by the law and made their voice known. I guess next time they need to go and deficate in a public park to get Time’s recognition. Lessons in Liberty: Non-Violent Resistance by BRENT JOHNSONLessons in Liberty: Non-Violent Resistance by BRENT JOHNSON We are engaged in a new war for independence. The US has declared was on the American people. In 1917, President Woodrow Wilson signed into law the “Trading with the Enemies Act”. It was designed to give the government the ability to oversee and control trade being done with our known enemies at the time. The language of the law specifically stated that the enemies DID NOT include US citizens. In 1933, as part of his banking declarations, Presiden Franklin D. Roosevelt renewed this law but with one important change: He redifined an enemy to INCLUDE US citizens. By doing so, the government declared war on its own people. This act and declaration has been renewed multiple times over the years since in writing. It is not possible for us to meet our government in war from a conventional stance and thus the need for guerilla tactics. One of the most effective is the use of non-violent resistance. It has take 2 mnths for the nations mayors and government officials to finally gather the spine to remove these people and now the City of New Orleans has to be subjected to their presence once again. These protestors have the right to speak and be heard but they do not have the right to take over a public park and riun it with their unsafe and unsanitary existance. While this group can’t seem to scrape two nickels together to afford a port-o-potty, they somehow found the money to hire a lawyer to take their case to court. Judge Jay Zaney was mad that the mayor finally exersied the law and kicked the protesters out so he made the decision to let them return. What a travesty. The main stream, liberal media wants Romney to run against President Obama because he is a liberal in Republican’s clothing. This would almost guarantee an Obama victory since the liberals would never actually vote Republican and the Republicans certainly wouldn’t vote for a liberal. Kovacs Perspective: The Economic Train to Freedom and Prosperity by STEVE KOVACSKovacs Perspective: The Economic Train to Freedom and Prosperity by STEVE KOVACS How do you revive a nations failing economy while paying down its massive debt at the same time? Set up a business friendly environment that strongly encourages manufacturing, innovation and exporting while rewarding those whose initiative was taken to make it happen. Combine that with REASONABLE government spending and you will see the economy roar down the tracks like a steam engine locomotive! You cannot simply tax the people (rich or poor) and spend at will to restore things to a state of prosperity. Complaining about the large corporations while clamoring for more hand-outs will only create more chaos and failure. We need to get our economy producing and selling American made products agan. With the increase of productivity combined with the increased sales and exports, our economy will once again roar. The affect this will have on government is INCREASED revenue without having to raise taxes. Combined with fiscally responsible spending, our debt can be paid off rapidly. The only way this will ever happen is if we elect officials that share this vision AND are willing to make it happen. It is not too late for America…yet. The mayor allowed these people to exersize their constitutional right to free speech for close to 60 days but, with the camp having become a health and safety hazzard (not to mention that it was killing the small businesses and trampling on the rights of the people who live and work near the park), it was time for them to go. A judge has ruled that the OWS protesters can return to the park but they can no longer camp there. While the right to assemble and make your concerns be know is a right that we are all entitled to, what these people have been doing has gone far beyond any reasonable interpretation of the boundries of that right. We are a nation that was designed to be ruled by laws. We are given the right to elect citizens to represent our interests in passing those laws but we are not given a carte blanche break them as we see fit to make a point. Civil disobedience is still breaking the law and with it comes the responsibility of the law. If people are allowed to unconditionally disobey laws at random to try to make a point our nation will decend into the morass of anarchy and ultimately fall into oblivion. Thank you Mayor Bllomburg for reminding these people of that. Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. Ringside Politics: President Obama, China’s best friend by JEFF CROUERERingside Politics: President Obama, China’s best friend by JEFF CROUERE President Obama’s systematic destruction of the U. S. economy continues. This time it is his bowing down to the radical environmental movement by delaying an approval decision to locate an oil pipeline project from Canada. This project would provide thousands of desparately needed jobs while offering the opportunity for the U. S. to loosen the grip of OPEC on our energy supply. But, instead of doing something to help his own nation, the president’s decision has caused the Canadian government to state that they would now be increasing their oil exports to China instead. Once again we see China benefitting from the inability of our president to do what is right for the United States. China is one of the worst polluters on the planet, but the radical environmental movement doesn’t seem to care. The only agenda here is the wholesale ruin of our nation. Kovacs Perspective: Debates, Sex, Lies and Gingrich by STEVE KOVACSKovacs Perspective: Debates, Sex, Lies and Gingrich by STEVE KOVACS One of the benefits of the plethera of Republican Presidential candidate debates is that it offers us, the voters, a great opportunity to see who they are and what they are all about. Herman Cain has been strong but now looks to be faltering. His handling of the sexual harrasment scandal and his answers regarding foreign policy have left questions about his ability to lead. Meanwhile, Newt Gingrich, whom everyone had written off, is standing in there and taking all of the punches. Smart, sharp , he is always well preparedand and now is starting making a move up in the polls. Mitt Romney is Mitt Romney. He generally looks good but leaves us wondering who is behind the curtain. What will he be like IF he gets elected? As for the others, one minute to another, each of the other candidates is either stepping up or stepping in it. All of this should make for a great primary run. Stay tuned… Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. Ringside Politics: Obama is taxing your Christmas Tree to promote…Christmas Trees by JEFF CROUERERingside Politics: Whoo-hoo, Unemployment is now ONLY 9% by JEFF CROUERE Guess what President Obama is taxing now? Your Christmas Tree. That’s right, our tax and spend president has decided to apply a 15 cent tax on the sale of all fresh Christmas Tree sold. The money is to be pooled together to create some sort of marketing program to promote Christmas Trees. The federal government has no business being in the business of selling Christmas Trees, or anything else for that mater. Yet, here they are again, sticking their collective nose where it doesn’t belong. Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Ringside Politics: Whoo-hoo, Unemployment is now ONLY 9% by JEFF CROUERERingside Politics: Whoo-hoo, Unemployment is now ONLY 9% by JEFF CROUERE The mainstream media is now celebrating the good news that the unemployment rate os only 9%. Sadly, ithe unemployment rate is still 1.4% HIGHER that when President Obama took office. 14 million people are still out of work (2.5 million more that before the current administration) and there seems to be no real plan for real, long term job creation. President Obama’s economic policies have been an abysmal failure. We can no longer afford to continue down this path of ruin. High unemployment is now being joined by higher inflation and runaway government debt. All of this has created the highest misery index in 30 years. The liberal MSM can try to spin this all they want, but it justy isn’t good news. Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Kovacs Perspective: There are only 3 Republicans left? by STEVE KOVACSKovacs Perspective: There are only 3 Republicans left? by STEVE KOVACS In case you were wondering, it would appear that there are only 3 Republicans left in the race for president. Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney are the only ones left with a chance, the rest have no hope. That is how it appears now, unless something big happens like a decades old sex scandal or a super jobs package being released. This is truly amazing sonce the primaries haven’t even started yet. Ringside Politics: Florida judge decides to support welfare drug habits by JEFF CROUERERingside Politics: Florida judge decides to support welfare drug habits by JEFF CROUERE Once again we see when liberals can’t get their way in politics , they resort to finding liberal judges to re-write the laws for them. This time it is in Florida where a recently passed law requiring welfare recipients to submit to drug testing in order to maintain their benefits was challenged. The people of the state wanted this, the legislature passed it and the governor signed it into law. The tax payers shouldn’t be required to support someone’s drug habit, but, a Florida judge disagreed and struck down the law. This is just one of the many reasons why our country is decending into chaos. Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Kovacs Perspective: Oh Boy, Republican Candidates Droppin Like Flies, or Almost by STEVE KOVACSKovacs Perspective: Oh Boy, Republican Candidates Droppin Like Flies, or Almost by STEVE KOVACS As you might expect, a shake-up is happening in the Republican race for the White House. One minute it looks like Rick Perry is running away with it and next minute the majority is running from him. The same has been true for one time superstar Michelle Bachmann, Newt Gingrich, Herman Cain and the rest. Only Mitt Romney seems to be holding steady, even though he has serious credibility issues, as he remains the front runner. Folks this thing is just now starting to get interesting. Stay tuned as we continue to look and see who will emerge as our best hope to unseat President Obama next November. It was hosted by known lefty Anderson Cooper. Why do the Republicans continue to allow their image to be crafted by a liberal media that is only out for their demise. It is time for the GOP to grow a spine and actually stand up and fight for what is needed in this country instead of simply cowtowing the the left.
