Kovacs Perspective: Iran’s leaders are stupid by STEVE KOVACS

What do the leaders of Iran hope to accomplish with their latest round of insane moves? First, they decide to “cut off” oil supplies to England and France as a response to the sanctions imposed by those countries. What affect will this have? NONE! England had already stopped importing oil from Iran and the amount received by France adds up to less than 3% of their total oil imports. Next, the leaders of Iran are doing everything they can to provoke an attack from either Israel or the US. What could possibly make them believe that this is, in any way, a good idea? Sadam Hussain thought that his massive army could match up to the might of the US and we all saw how that worked out. All of this is shear insanity; Iran’s leaders are just being stupid.

Ringside Politics: $5 per gallon gas courtesy of President Obama by JEFF CROUERE

Looks like this summer is going to be a miserable one; not due to weather, but due to the chance that gas will go as high as $5 per gallon. Thanks to the ongoing efforts of our president to serve radical environmental concerns, we now are set up to be more dependent on foreign oil that ever before. His foreign policy in the Mid-East has emboldened Iran as threatens to destablize everything, his wholesale stopping of drilling in the Gulf of Mexico has crippled the US oil production, and now President Obama has said no to the Keystone pipeline and killed both jobs and oil availablity to the US. The big winners here are Iran and China; all the our expense.

Ringside Politics: President Obama, China’s best friend by JEFF CROUERE

President Obama’s systematic destruction of the U. S. economy continues. This time it is his bowing down to the radical environmental movement by delaying an approval decision to locate an oil pipeline project from Canada. This project would provide thousands of desparately needed jobs while offering the opportunity for the U. S. to loosen the grip of OPEC on our energy supply. But, instead of doing something to help his own nation, the president’s decision has caused the Canadian government to state that they would now be increasing their oil exports to China instead. Once again we see China benefitting from the inability of our president to do what is right for the United States. China is one of the worst polluters on the planet, but the radical environmental movement doesn’t seem to care. The only agenda here is the wholesale ruin of our nation.

My Take – For Monday, 02/28/11:

The gas pump rip-off.

This is Jim Sumpter

I paid $3.59 a gallon for gas over the week-end and I’m mad about it.

The professional liars in DC, otherwise known as our elected representatives are the ones to blame for this.  They may be elected, but the only ones they’re representing are their own selfish self-interests and the special interests of those who have bought and paid for the best representation money can buy.

So here we are, getting ripped-off at the pump again.

How many times are we going to be the patsy witnesses to the ritual of a bunch of self-important do-nothings either lying by telling us that these are times of hardship and belt-tightening for all Americans as they of course prosper, or extol the virtue of conserving, cutting back on our driving while they’re chauffeured about in their power-black SUVs, or perpetuating the biggest lie of all – that we’ve got to take the steps to be energy independent, when they have absolutely no intention of making that  happen.
I’m Jim Sumpter and that’s “My Take”.
