THE PHONY RIGHTWING
AND WHO IS SELLING US DOWN THE RIVER
Part 2
Newt Gingrich and THE THIRD WAVE
Okay, so we’ve gone over what Newt has done in the past, and part of what he stands for, but we haven’t touched at all on his belief in Alvin and Heidi Toffler’s THE THIRD WAVE. To make it quite clear, Toffler’s beliefs are rooted solidly in communism, but dressed up thoroughly in neo-con speak and sprinkled with the tiniest bit of capitalism. This is why so many of our electorate are fooled by the RINOs and why so many of these RINOs go along with the communists in the Democrat party.
In 1994, Newt presented a list of 8 books he wanted everyone to read….first was the Declaration of Independence, second the Federalist Papers, and third was the THIRD WAVE by Alvin Toffler printed by the new age Progress and Freedom Foundation. Alvin Toffler is Newt Gingrich’s mentor, so we need to take a closer look at what Toffler espouses in THE THIRD WAVE. By the way he never mentioned reading the constitution and for good reason. He wants to be rid of it.
Toffler believes mankind is entering a new system. To the founding fathers in his book, he wrote, “For the system of government you fashioned including the very principles on which you based it, is increasingly obsolete, and hence increasingly, if inadvertently, oppressive and dangerous to our welfare. It must be radically changed and a new system of government invented, a democracy for the 21st century. For this wisdom, above all, I thank Mr. Jefferson who helped create the system that served us so well for so long, and that now must, in its turn, die and be replaced.”
Gingrich, who swore an oath 10 times to uphold and defend the constitution urges with his mentor Toffler, the very death of the American Constitutional system. Gingrich wrote the forward to Toffler’s book, “Creating a New Civilization.” As my friend, Constance Cumbey wrote in her recent article http://newswithviews.com/Cumbey/constance130.htm, the very best information on The Third Wave and Newt Gingrich was written by Steve Farrell. The entire 8 part series is at http://www.themoralliberal.com/2010/01/07/democrats-in-drag-steve-farrell/. If you never do any other reading, print this 8 part series out and read it carefully. It is a picture of what is happening to America. Connie also mentioned in her blog that new Catholic convert Newt (formerly a Southern Baptist) recently spoke at John Hagee’s church in San Antonio.
Apparently Hagee’s staff doesn’t research the backgrounds of their invited speakers and thus has influenced and poisoned thousands with the neo-con rhetoric of Gingrich who is selling the old doctrine of communism.
I am going to quote heavily from Steve Farrell’s article so you will know at least part of what we’re facing with the right’s love of the Third Wave.
“The Third Way/Wave may sound new and innocuous to many, but its founders include such earlier notables as Plato (The Republic), Karl Marx (The Communist Manifesto), and Adolf Hitler (National Socialism), certainly not the best crew for men and women sworn to defend our Constitution and to turn to for inspiration.”
“Plato didn’t call his revolutionary plan for tyranny ‘tyranny.’ Who would? Rather he cloaked every item of revolutionary change in more palatable terms like, ‘justice,’ or ‘the heavenly ideal,’ or ‘the pursuit of the good,’ or ‘the love of truth.’ ” He believed in and practiced double talk just as the politicians on both the left and right do today. “He believed so much in his double talk that he convinced casual readers that they were mulling over a Judeo-Christian appeal to virtue. Virtue, he taught, is whatever sustains or brings about the ideal city. And such an ideal city was his! Communist, through and through.”
Here are the ‘Virtuous’ Aims of Plato’s Third Wave
1. Private property must be abolished, the wealthy hated and their wealth redistributed by state mandate.
2. Children belong to, and are born to serve the state. The influence of parents is noxious and disruptive to the interest of the state, thus every child should be raised in government nurseries, without knowledge of who his or her parents are and without the parents having knowledge of who their offspring are. Every child becomes the common property of every parent in the city. Every parent has the collective duty to watch over them. (Hillary Clinton’s, It takes a Village)
3. Private education, like traditional parenting, is at the very headwaters of falsehood and social strife. It must be eliminated and replaced with a closely monitored state school system.
4. Old values passed down in history, song, children’s books, all need to be rewritten to discredit and erase the old virtues and to exalt and enthrone the new.
5. Frivolous children’s games eliminated, new games developed that emphasize law and order.
6. Private industry is self serving. State should have absolute control of all industry for benefit of the whole.
7. Class mobility is a revolutionary idea that threatens the stability of the state and the pre-eminence of true philosophy. A strict caste system and the elimination of career choice is the answer.
8. Talent must never be allowed to wander or be wasted. Early on, children must be identified and channeled by the state for the benefit of the state into careers selected by the state.
9. Under the guise of equality, women ought to be exploited: first to foment ‘class war’ during the Third Wave (women’s roles are reversed to men’s); next, to be promptly put into their place as part of a ‘community of women’ to be shared collectively by male guardians.
10. Selective breeding is beneficial to the state (Hitler)
11. Unwanted babies, inferior babies, deformed babies and the adult handicapped are an unnecessary drag on the prosperity and well-being of society. They should be left to die. Unproductive adults, likewise, should be terminated. (Abortion, Obamacare)
12. Homosexuality is morally acceptable and homosexual rape of lower-class males and boys is a right of rulers, guardians and war heroes.
13. Only a few men are foreordained to understand life and higher good…the rest are equivalent of dumb sheep.
14. Absolute loyalty to the government is vital for the success and safety of society. A state sanctioned KGB-like network is an essential good.
15. Wealth is not essential to the safety of the state.
16. Virtue rejects troublemaking democracy (pure or direct democracy) as an end, yet shrewdly identifies it as the quickest, surest route to promoting the communist view of equality of ends.
There are more, but these are the ultimate goals, the communist goals, of Plato’s Third Wave/Third Way and where all this business begins. “Marx, like his forbearers of the 18th century communist cabal known as the Illuminati, invented nothing new. He stole heavily from Plato’s “Republic” without due credit and then “borrowed” heavily from Hegel’s Godless dialectic view of history, Aristotle’s quantum leap view of evolution, and Plato’s cynical conception that the source of all law, morality, and religion is simply the strong and the rich erecting protectionist walls around their property and power.
Hitler’s German national Socialist German Workers Party (Nazi) was another Third Wave setting. Hitler was a bit more advanced in the newer beliefs of the Third Wave. Hitler taught that the masses were dumb and needed a leader, they couldn’t self-rule. Fascism embraces much of Plato and Marx but utilizes different, and perhaps, superior methods of control; –for all the while it lets citizens think they have a safe amount of freedom.”
Just like their talk about decentralization and democracy, Third Way proponents today talk of national “service” (Obama), “Compassionate Conservatism” (Bush), “Faith-Based” subsidies, and moral effective “partnerships” with cash for conversion. (most politicians).
“Gingrich openly calls himself a futurist, which is the study of, and interest in, forecasting or anticipating the future, or theorizing on how to impose controls on events.
Gingrich revealed to Congress that he began working with the Tofflers in the early 1970s on a concept called anticipatory democracy. He says, “For twenty years we (who’s we?) have worked to develop a future-conscious politics and popular understanding that would make it easier for America to make the transition from the Second Wave civilization (the one the founders gave us) –which is clearly dying–to the emerging, but in many ways undefined, Third Wave civilization (Alvin Toffler’s Centrist Utopia).”
The majority of the above statements are directly from Steve Farrell’s wonderful article which I hope you’ll all take the time to read because of its utmost importance in understanding what is happening today with Republicans especially.
Conclusions
Truly we are surrounded in both the left and the right with Communists. Both are adept at hiding the truth of their doctrine in euphemistic language. Some are more bold than others like Newt Gingrich, but nearly all of the GOP candidates and most of our GOP politicians believe in much of what Toffler’s Third Wave represents for this country. As I wrote in my article, WOLVES IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING, it is the rightwing that is desperately trying to destroy our constitution with a new constitutional convention and don’t believe it when they tell you there are no dangers. The father of our constitution James Madison knew better and voiced a strong concern regarding any call for another convention. The so-called “White Hats” have such pretty speech that they convince the uneducated that they are helping to save the country, when in fact, they are part and parcel of the purposeful destruction. We need to force them to obey the constitution, not destroy or replace it.
I know that all things are in God’s Hands and He has the ultimate control. I also know that the only true thing that will save this country is the preaching of God’s Word. Having said that, we also must stand and fight for what we know is right and defeat the enemies of freedom.
We’ll discuss some of the other GOP candidates for president in the next article.

THE PHONY RIGHTWING
AND WHO IS SELLING US DOWN THE RIVER
Part 1
Newt Gingrich
A couple years ago one of my neighbors asked me to accompany her to a tea party meeting at the Maryville, TN library which is about 25 minutes from Knoxville. I said, “Sure, I’d love to go see what they’re doing.” There were several speakers and most of it was boring classroom beginner’s education for those that were just waking up to the fact that we’ve lost our country. We paid our two dollars and sat in the back of the room. The third speaker’s topic was “Where to go for information.” When they showed pictures of websites of Newt Gingrich and Heritage Foundation and others, I just shook my head and got up and left. I was absolutely appalled that any freedom loving American would send an audience of uneducated people into the hands of those that are worse enemies than the obvious Democrat Marxists. Remember folks, “A false friend IS MORE DANGEROUS than an open enemy.”
For several months I’ve mulled over the thought of exposing everyone they suggested, Newt, Heritage, Koch and a plethora of GOP candidates running for election in 2012 for POTUS. In a previous three part article, SAVING THE REPUBLIC?, I exposed a good deal of the Heritage background, but we will need to revisit and explore more deeply the deception of this allegedly conservative think tank which is anything but a constitutional foundation.
First we’ll start with Newt who masquerades as a rightwing conservative but is one of the most dangerous enemies of freedom now hoping to gain the presidency in 2012. Some friends have told me with all the bad press he’s dead in the water, but I saw McCain resurrected, not once but twice to win the primary in the 2008 elections, so we still need to know the truth about Newt.
Gingrich was born in 1943 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. A college professor, historian, and author, Gingrich twice ran unsuccessfully for the House before winning a seat in the election of November 1978. He was re-elected ten times, and his activism as a member of the House’s Republican minority eventually enabled him to succeed Dick Cheney as House Minority Whip in 1989. As a co-author of the 1994 Contract with America, Gingrich was in the forefront of the Republican Party’s dramatic success in that year’s Congressional elections and subsequently was elected Speaker of the House.
Newt received a B.A. in history from Emory University in Atlanta in 1965. He received an M.A. in 1968, and then a PhD in modern European history from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1971 At Tulane University he accepted student deferments rather than being drafted to Viet Nam. He experimented with marijuana. He led a campus demonstration defending the school paper’s right to print a photo of a nude faculty member. And in 1968 he campaigned for Nelson Rockefeller.
In 1990 he became a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. If you’ve never read Richard N. Gardner’s April 1974 article in CFR’s World Affairs, Gardner called for an end run around national sovereignty eroding it piece by piece. The CFR was founded in 1921 for world government and eliminating national independence. Henry Kissinger is also a CFR member and actually schooled Newt. Both Gingrich and Kissinger claim they’re conservatives.
Gingrich has been married three times. In 1962, he married his first wife, Jackie Battley, who was 6 years his senior and his high school geometry teacher. In the spring of 1980, Gingrich left Battley after having an affair with Marianne Ginther. According to Battley, Gingrich visited her while she was in the hospital recovering from uterine cancer surgery to discuss the details of their divorce. Six months after the divorce was final, Gingrich wed Marianne Ginther in 1981. In the mid-1990s, Gingrich began an affair with House of Representatives staffer Callista Bisek, who is 23 years his junior. They continued their affair during the Lewinsky scandal, when Gingrich was a leader of the Republican investigation of President Clinton for perjury in connection with his alleged affairs with Paula Jones and Monica Lewinsky. In 1999, over the Mother’s Day weekend and on the same day his second wife had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, Gingrich informed her he had found someone else.
In 2000, Gingrich married Bisek shortly after his divorce from second wife Ginther. He and Callista currently live in McLean, Virginia. If I were Callista, I’d take extremely good care of my health.
Newt was elected congressman from Georgia in 1978. In 1979 he voted
1. YEA to the creation of the Department of Education, which is unconstitutional (William Z. Foster called for a federal Department of Education in his book, “Towards Soviet America.”) Studies were to be cleansed of religious, patriotic and other features of the ‘bourgeois’ ideology. Students were to be taught basis of Marxian dialectical materialism, inter nationalism and general ethics of the new Socialist Society. See any articles by Charlotte Iserbyt at http://newswithviews.com/iserbyt/iserbyta.htm
2. YEA to designating 68 million acres as Federal protected wilderness. Our constitution doesn’t call for any land “control,” but the communist manifesto calls for all abolition of property and land and application of all rents of land to public purposes. Federal Land grabs today are huge percentages of the 13 western states that are now federally owned.
Note: The communist manifesto wants:
1. Land controls
2. Progressive Income Tax
3.Termination of Inheritance
4. Central Bank which is the Federal Reserve
5. Control of Education
In 1994 Newt voted:
1. YEA to the National Endowment for the Arts
2. YEA for 1.2 billion for UN peacekeeping
3. YEA for the presidential line item veto
4. YEA for 13 billion in foreign aid
5. YEA for 166 million more for the IRS
6. Led Congress into GATT with fellow CFR member Bill Clinton and then stated that it was a very big transfer of power. It was, because it overrode Article 1, Section 8 of the constitution. As well, GATT reduces the amount of money we can save for pensions. He jawed with President Clinton in NH that he was a huge fan of FDR and Woodrow Wilson, two of the most despised early communist leaning presidents. Remember Wilson gave us both the federal reserve and the 16th amendment, income tax.
He also voted:
1. China as Most Favored Nation for trade
2. Voted to supply funds to subsidize trade with the Soviets.
3. Voted to transfer 2.2 million acres in Idaho to Wilderness status.
4. Voted for federal funding loan guarantees for greater trade with Red China.
5. Voted for taxpayer funds being available to foreign governments through export/import banks.
6. Is pro amnesty – Joe Galloway wrote in December 2010 that both Newt and Jeb Bush were pro-amnesty. Gingrich stated, “We are not going to deport 11 million immigrants.” How about 40 million Newt…send them home, they’re an invasion!
7. Is pro foreign aid. In 1995 he voted for 31.8 billion in foreign aid, but wouldn’t vote to cut foreign aid by a measly 1%.
Newt also backed a strong central government, strong environmental laws, national service programs, the United Nations Goals 2000 (which many Republicans voted for), federal financing of local police, and UN peacekeeping missions for our military.
8. Gingrich is pro-Obamacare and even advocated it in the 90s on Meet the Press, and recently: http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2011-05-16/news/bal-mandatory-health-insurance-a-growing-number-of-gop-candidates-are-ok-with-it-20110516_1_insurance-mandate-health-insurance-health-care
9. He did a Global Warming ad with Nancy Pelosi that is coming back to haunt him, but in reality, he is a big environmentalist. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/05/12/gingrich-feels-heat-global-warming-ad-pelosi/
10. Is pro-Gun Control – Newt is currently circulating a letter advertising a DVD called: “America at Risk” for which you may obtain a copy if you send him $35.00 or more. On page 3 of his six-page letter he says: “Today the choice is yours: You can either sit back and allow Barack Obama and the liberal elite to disarm our country, leaving us defenseless against enemies who explicitly desire to erase America from existence.”
Yet, if you check on the voting list of those who voted “yea” on Public Law 101-216 (http://www.libertygunrights.com/PublicLaw101-216.pdf) in 1989 (an update to the General and Complete Disarmament Law, Public Law 87-297) you will find that Newt Gingrich voted in favor of section 2 of this disarmament bill which reads:
“(2) as defined in this Act, the terms ‘arms control’ and ‘disarmament’ mean ‘the identification, verification, inspection, limitation, control, reduction, or elimination, of armed forces and armaments of all kinds under international agreement to establish an effective system of international control’;”
Should we trust a man who professes to be so concerned with our security and right to have armed forces, who also votes to give them away to the United Nations for a world army? The last thing we need is someone who professes to protect us, while at the same time, is planning to sell us out! See Bernadine Smith’s website for countless documents: http://www.liberty gunrights.com/
Newt’s campaign manager for many of his congressional races, was Ralph Reed of the Christian Coalition and a charter member of the secretive Council for National Policy. Ralph was a paid speaker like many of his fellow CNP members for Sun Myung Moon’s Unification church who has a front group within the CNP. Reed took money from fellow CNP member, Jack Abramoff’s American Indian casino clients through a variety of conduits and manipulated Christian groups to act as fronts to oppose gambling competition for the tribes. He helped Abramoff oppose legislation to extend protections to women and children employed by sweatshops in the Northern Mariana Islands, despite the fact that our government had reported that the employers forced employees to enter the sex-tourism trade. When these immigrant workers inevitably became pregnant, they were forced to have abortions.

AMERICAN CITIZENS AS GUINEA PIGS
Part 9
Health Care Harm
Health care mistakes are the 3rd leading cause of death in the United States. A landmark 1999 report by the Institute of Medicine showed that 100,000 deaths occur in the US each year as a result of health care harm. A 2007 CDC Control report said that an additional 99,000 people die annually from hospital-acquired infections.
There have been more than 80 reported deaths in the United States linked to the use of contaminated Heparin (produced by Baxter International). Most of the deaths occurred among patients that were administrated with a contaminated batch of Baxter Heparin supplied by a Chinese facility. The contaminated Heparin caused a severe allergic reaction that led to many deaths. In February 2008, Baxter International recalled their entire Heparin supply.
In April of 2008 I traveled to Seattle, Washington to see renowned Thoracic and Esophageal surgeon, Dr. Ralph Aye. He performed the Hill Posterior Gastropexy on me, which is a surgery to correct severe acid reflux. It is not the more common surgery called a Nissen Fundoplication done by most general surgeon. The Hill requires a more skilled surgeon and is done laparoscopically. I spent only 24 hours in the hospital and had few if any side effects during the 6 week recovery. During the night of my 24 hour stay, the nurse came in three times to give me a shot of Heparin. Because my husband and I were well aware of the dangers of Baxter Heparin, we made sure that was not what the nurse was administering. Let me say that Swedish Medical Center was the finest facility I have ever been in and the care was top rate. I’ve been well ever since, thanks to Dr. Aye’s surgical skill. Sadly this is not the case in all healthcare facilities.
On the afternoon of November 17, 2007 actor Dennis Quaid and his wife noticed a sore on their twin son’s umbilical cord. Their daughter had a similar irritation on one of her fingers. The couple’s pediatrician sent them to Cedars-Sinai. (Remember I wrote about Cedars-Sinai and CT scans in Part 8 of this series.) Both children, only 12 days old, were diagnosed with staph. The parents would not leave their children’s sides. They even watched the next morning as a nurse dispensed a substance into their IVs. She explained that it was Hep-Lock, routinely used to prevent blood clots at IV sites. Without knowing it the new parents had just witnessed the first of two massive overdoses of heparin, another being given several hours later when the IV bags were changed. Finally that night the exhausted parents went home to rest. At 6 a.m. the next morning when they returned to Cedars-Sinai, they learned of the overdose. They rushed to their children and were intercepted by representatives from the risk-management division of Cedars-Sinai. The hospital was of course worried about liability rather than the health and welfare of the children. It outraged Quaid and his wife.
When they later looked into the frequency of medical errors, they learned that U.S. hospitals (and probably around the world) are not required to publically report errors, and that caregivers often conceal mistakes to avoid malpractice lawsuits.
Cal Sheridan, now 15, was insufficiently treated for jaundice as an infant and now suffers from a plethora of illnesses — cerebral palsy and auditory and vision impairment. Four years after Cal failed to be properly treated, his father, Patrick, was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor; a follow-up pathology report indicating that the tumor was malignant was misfiled and Patrick, late to begin treatment, lost his battle with cancer in 2002. Cal’s mother, Sue Sheridan now heads up two non-profit organizations to address medical errors.
But back to the Quaid children. After launching an investigation in how the overdose to the twins happened, Quaid learned that the nurses had twice mistakenly given each infant a 10,000 unit dose of heparin, used to treat illnesses in adults, instead of the similarly packaged 10 unit dose called Hep-Lock, appropriate for use in IVs for infants. Three infants at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis had died a year earlier from the exact same overdose. I know Methodist well as my daughter was treated there as a young girl.
Baxter soon changed how it packaged the two dosages. Instead of being identical in size and similar in color, the higher dose would now carry an orange label and warning. However, the company FAILED TO RECALL THE EXISTING BOTTLES! As Quaid said, “Companies recall dog food! Why weren’t they recalled?”
Yes, the Quaids have sued Baxter for negligence and the case is pending. As for Cedars-Sinai, the hospital agreed to make changes to prevent an overdose from occurring again. As part of the settlement with the Quaids, Cedars spent millions on electronic record keeping, bedside bar coding, computerized physician order entry systems. So, the Quaids are happy with this result. I wonder if they know about the 200 patients that received 8 times the normal dosage levels in CT scans at Cedars-Sinai.
The medical system has played a large role in undermining the health of Americans. According to several research studies in the last decade, a total of 225,000 Americans per year have died as a result of their medical treatments:
• 12,000 deaths per year due to unnecessary surgery
• 7000 deaths per year due to medication errors in hospitals
• 20,000 deaths per year due to other errors in hospitals
• 80,000 deaths per year due to infections in hospitals
• 106,000 deaths per year due to negative effects of drugs
Thus, America’s healthcare-system-induced deaths are the third leading cause of the death in the U.S., after heart disease and cancer.
Medical mistakes seem to be a leading cause of death because most physicians and dentists are so rushed to see a certain number of patients in a day, that they rarely take time to read a patient’s full chart. The only physician that ever read all 50 some pages of my medical history (I keep my own history on my computer) was Dr. Aye of Swedish Medical Center. It really didn’t used to be like this.
A 15 year old autistic boy, Michael Blankenship, was brought into the dental clinic in a hospital that specialized in treating children. When Michael was discharged the hospital’s chief pediatric dentist made a fatal mistake. She prescribed a Fentanyl “pain patch” because Michael’s mother informed the hospital that her son could not, or would not, ingest oral medication due to his autism. This fact had also been recorded in Michael’s chart years earlier. The pharmacist that filled the script failed to catch the error as well. That evening, Michael’s mother put the patch on her son at bedtime. Michael was found dead the next morning. The Fentanyl patch delivered so much of the narcotic to Michael’s system that it caused respiratory arrest and this caused his death.
The FDA has been warning since 2005 against misuse of the patch system, which was designed for use only by patients who have developed a tolerance for opium-derived painkillers such as morphine. In a recent public health advisory, the agency warned against prescribing the patch in circumstances identical to those that Blankenship found himself in. Michael had never ever been exposed to narcotics. One would think a script for a liquid painkiller would have been much more appropriate for a tooth extraction.
The FDA, according to the statement, “continues to receive reports of death and life-threatening side effects in patients who use the Fentanyl patch.”
“The reports indicate that doctors have inappropriately prescribed the Fentanyl patch to patients for acute pain following surgery, for headaches, occasional or mild pain, and other indications for which a Fentanyl patch should not be prescribed,” the warning’s authors said, according to the FDA Web site.
In Blankenship’s case, he was given a patch designed to release 100 micrograms of the drug per hour — which was the maximum dose available. His dentists, according to the allegations, had not previously prescribed the drug to any of their patients.
There are countless stories like this that are simply heartbreaking. One thing I’ve learned before taking any prescribed medication is to check out the side effects and any negative reactions with other medications. As well, we can check the physicians and the hospitals. One of the 20 or so questions I asked Dr. Aye in our phone consult prior to traveling to Seattle was what the infection rate was at Swedish Medical for Staph, MRSA, Clostridium Difficile Colitis, etc. etc. ad nauseum. I was pleased with the answer. You will find however, that in today’s hospitals, the doctors and surgeons will readily tell you to go home as quickly as possible in order to stay well.
There are many reasons for mistakes and for infections from hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and other health care facilities, but with the advent of the unstoppable Obama care, we all need to be our own best advocates for all facets of our health care.
And one last point, the horrible mistake that happened to the Quaid children leaked out to the media. Hundreds of thousands of people prayed for the 12 day old twins. Dennis Quaid and his wife, Kimberly openly admit that those prayers saved their children. God does answer prayers.

Time Flew By!
Wow, I haven’t added anything for quite a while! I guess the press of the holidays into the preparation and joy of my son’s wedding… I have gained a wonderful new daughter!! Then getting back into the stride of work and my activities with the kid’s ministry at church… I am almost caught up with myself.
Some things in life create momentary craziness but are soooo, worth it!! February was a month of that- my son got married at the end of the month so right after Christmas the preparation phase for that event went from a gentle pace to the more intensely focused press. At times like that it is very important to not get so wrapped up in the prep and planning that you forget to enjoy the joy of the event!! Thanks planning, preparation, and also to a wonderful network of friends and family, the wedding was beautiful and the newly married couple… PRICELESS!!
I couldn’t be a prouder mom at this point these kids did it all right! They began courting just over a year ago… yes I said courting. They were good friends who had met at church and had common interests, and my son felt that he wanted to see if there was something more… so they began to court, time together was spent in the presence of others so that temptations to other things would be avoided. In June my son, who is in the Air Force stationed in Alaska, called the Pastor of our church and asked how he and his lovely girlfriend could go through the pre-marriage counseling program with an elder couple from our church because that is where they wanted to get married when the time arrived. So they were given the go-ahead to go through the program via Skype.
In September they became engaged and the planning began. So using all the advantages that modern technology provides we were able to plan a wedding with the couple in Alaska, her family in CO and me, OR. It was a learning experience but with communications in the form of phone calls, email, instant messages, and Facebook, well we got it done!
When the happy couple kissed for the very first time at the alter… yes first kiss-EVER, it was sooo wonderful and beautiful. I couldn’t ask for a better ‘help-mate’ suitable for my son, and addition to our family. She’s a perfect fit and the two families meshed really well, we enjoyed some getting acquainted time during a dinner of spaghetti in the family room of our home. During this we discovered a lot of common grounds and even people… turns out the father and uncle of the bride know my aunt in CO… who’d have thought?
Okay so enough of my ramblings, it was a crazy, busy and wonderful winter! So on into spring which as I look out the window I see that the sun has emerged as have the blooms of spring and it reminds me, time does fly.
I will be getting a new post up in the next few days sharing about my next adventure… something that will help you to save money, my new website and blog at savingwithjoy.com.
Have a great day!!! Happy Spring!!
Blessings, Prariemouse

SOCIAL SECURITY PAYROLL TAX CUT
Those of you still collecting a paycheck should have noticed an increase in what you took home starting in January of 2011. Unless you got a raise, you might not notice the difference. However, we did, and when my husband asked the payroll department at his company what caused the difference, all they could tell him was the tax rates were different. Of course I immediately wondered what was done, but could find no answers. Then my husband came across a small article in our local paper taken from the Wall Street Journal that told about the social security rate cuts for 2011.
The 2011 tax rate is 4.2 percent for employees, 6.2 percent for employers, and 10.4 percent for self-employed people. These rates apply to earnings up to the maximum taxable amount ($106,800 in 2011).
The Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010 reduced 2011 Social Security tax rates for employees and self-employed people by two percentage points, from 6.2 percent to 4.2 percent for employees and from 12.4 percent to 10.4 percent for self-employed people. Without further changes in the law, these tax rates will return to 6.2 percent and 12.4 percent, allegedly beginning in 2012.
The payroll tax reduction temporarily gives employees extra take-home pay. The tax rate reduction allows a worker earning $50,000 to take home an extra $1,000 over the year and a worker making $80,000 would take home $1,600. This reduction of the payroll tax levied on most workers is intended to accelerate economic recovery by leaving more than $100 billion in employees’ wallets over the next year – money they would presumably spend. S’cuse me, but I think we’re at an all time unemployment rate high, and I don’t see signs of recovery like the Obama loving media seems to see.
In August of 2010, it was reported in Washington’s annual trustees’ reports on the fiscal health of Social Security and Medicare, that social security will be paying out more than it’s taking in, which has come six years sooner than what was projected in 2009. The financial collapse and the continuing retirement of many baby boomers has prompted the United States Social Security system to be in the red. In an annual trustees’ reports on the fiscal health of Social Security and Medicare, U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said it is expected to pay out more than $41 billion more than what it takes in from payroll taxes.
C’mon folks, we’ve been told social security is broke for years now…we know the congress criminals have sanctioned using social security monies for various a sundry entitlement purposes other than social security! So, it defies logic that government would choose to reduce the tax revenue on a program that’s going broke! Guess who was behind this program. Yep, you’ve got it…President Obama and the democrats proposed this one year reduction as an economic stimulus and of course our Republican congress criminals jumped in bed with their leftist commie buddies in a bi-partisan vote. Both supporters and opponents agree this is opening the door to major changes in how social security is financed in the future.
I wanted to know more, so of course I called my congress critter’s office and asked to speak to someone about this subject. A young man named Patrick tried to answer my questions. As an aside, my congressman was first elected to Congress in 1988, in a special election to succeed his late father, and elected to the seat for a full term in his own right the same day. He has been reelected every two years since then from a district that has been held continuously by Republicans since 1857. He has never faced a serious or well-funded challenge for reelection, and was reelected without major-party opposition from 1994 through 2000. He does vote conservatively for the most part, although he voted for NAFTA and Goals 2000 which raised the ire of his constituents, including me. He backed the RINO for governor in 2010 rather than the true conservative who is our Lt. Governor. His son is being groomed to take over his seat when he retires. I guess that’s how it works in a family business.
So, Patrick couldn’t tell me the exact bill number where this tax change occurred. When I asked how long the reduction would last, he stated it would definitely be for only one year. I’ve since read in several articles that it could likely be renewed for a second year and perhaps indefinitely. Patrick told me that this simply replaced a tax credit that wasn’t working. I wondered, what tax credit and what wasn’t working…but didn’t get an answer there either. When I asked how much social security would lose over the year, Patrick told me that since it was a stimulus that it was agreed by both sides of the aisle that what it would stimulate would make up for the losses. I thought, yeah, sure and a chicken has lips. Guess what the losses are for one year? The estimated revenue loss for the trust funds for 2011 is $112 billion. Okay, so the economy is booming again, and small business and large corporations are hiring again, right? And that’s going to increase the social security trust fund income for 2011 even with the tax rate reduction of 2%, so what, me worry? Nah, it’ll all work out. Remember, it was FDR who said, “Nothing, absolutely nothing, happens in politics that isn’t planned.”
Clashes over how to keep social security solvent have been loud in recent years, but this debate over the reduction has been so muted that few actually know about it. Since the inception of the Social Security Act (PL 74-271) was enacted in 1935, the program has relied strictly on a payroll tax that workers and their employers pay equally. With the exception of some government employees, workers who earn up to $106,800 annually now pay 6.2% of their income in social security taxes, and their employers match that amount. Self-employed workers like me pay the full 12.4%.
For decades after its founding, supporters sought to have the government’s general fund support the program in much the same way that it pays for the military rather than having it allegedly (cuz it’s not there) in a trust fund strictly for social security usage. If social security has to depend on general revenue (which I’d guess is what the congress criminals and this administration are wanting) it starts having to compete with every other federal program for money and can easily be cut from the budget.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I found it total insanity to cut the rate of deductions when social security is paying out more than it’s taking in each year. At $50,000 a year income, an increase of $1000 for the year because of the deduction would net the employee so little money per week after taxes that the fractional increase would simply go to pay for the exponential increases in the cost of family groceries. Stimulate the economy? I really don’t think so.
Although congress voted in the big omnibus spending bill of 2009 to not receive a pay raise in 2010, they did not vote to eliminate their automatic cost of living raises each year unless they vote against it. Here’s the link on how they voted on those automatic raises: http://www.washingtonwatch.com/blog/2009/03/15/now-about-that-congressional-pay-raise/
The social security tax reduction actually gave federal employees a 2 percent raise on all income below the social security ceiling. The military received a pitiable 1.4 percent raise, but still will get that additional 2 percent added on for at least 2011. This social security reduction gives everyone who works a pay raise.
Those who have already retired and have paid into social security since its inception, receive nothing. Recently retired seniors paid social security tax while they worked for the benefits received by those who retired before them. The promise was that those who retire after them would pay their benefits. I’m sickened to see that once again things seniors deserve are being taken away from them and given to someone else. They’ve paid their share of social security tax while they worked and everyone else should do the same. Social security recipients haven’t had an increase in cost of living for two years and prices have soared although the government says there’s no inflation. I expect the politicians are planning to cut even more from social security recipients and over 50 million Americans are collecting today because of the baby boomer generation hitting collection age.
Our country has allowed the murder of 53 million innocent babies in the womb since 1973. Now the target is the elderly and the glut of baby boomers who will break the government Ponzi schemes of social security and Medicare/Medicaid. See my article, “It Has Nothing to Do With Health Care” for a full report on the elderly as the new targets of the death culture.
We’ll have to wait to see what the criminals in congress plan for the elderly and social security, but from the looks of things so far, it certainly doesn’t bode well. Nevertheless, remember Proverbs 1:33 and put your trust and hope in God Almighty.

Comparing Empire of the Dragon and the American Eagle
By Linda Frances Marie
Druids of England’s Stonehenge used symbols and stars to predict outcomes of future events and so did the Native American Indians. Their awareness proved correct when reading ancient manuscripts in libraries and museums. The same can be applied comparing two super powers you can see a pattern of conquering and dividing to gain global control for power, money, land, minerals and people. Both counties dominated with male leadership. Red China (Dragon-Fire) United States of America (Eagle-Air). Both have created a need for each to survive.
China used the sleeping dragon method to over take the Eagle. American corporate business men assumed the dragon was old and took sympathy with lack of manufacturing skills by offering them creative jobs producing small trinkets as the Chinese humbled themselves as they continued to accept the opportunity to manufacture items to gain knowledge, while corporate executives sold cheap products and filled their pockets with money, reducing benefits and cutting American jobs with a string of recalls manufactured in China. The Chinese learned the Americans way of life, by way of manufacturing to gain our trust as the dragon became larger with knowledge, taking over the eagles nest stripping the trees in the forest reducing the materials and food needed for the eagle to fly over the land the dragon became larger and grew wings with threats to conquer by way of fire. The smaller female dragons, The Peoples Republic of China were given nests on American soil and used as a distraction to steal knowledge from the space and defense industry, electrical power grids, computer software and learn the American way of life to find the weakness within Americans family of Eagles passing it to the Dragon leader using it to plan and conquer the land of the Americans.
Corporations in America use small businesses and family owned manufacturing companies to create the model idea with promises they will receive large orders for their samples of craftsmanship. Making poor workmanship as an excuse to the products quality, the project managers ship the designed model to China for mass production. Giving away America’s industrial ideas and inventions to be mass produced in the land of the Dragon, then shipped and sold back to the American Eagle. The Eagle loses its knowledge to build a nest and can no long fly as the dragon continues to strip the land with its fire by burning down the trees that hold the eagles nest and food.
Each day products manufactured in China are being recalled from clothing, powder milk foods, pet foods, paints, electrical & equipment parts, car parts, tooth paste, light blubs, toys and children’s furniture and clothing to chemical damaging drywall. Many items are not quality controlled have missing parts poorly made causing fires and sickness. Continual recalls of pharmaceutical products such as Tylenol with 31 million bottles pulled from store shelves, but the media does not give this a wide coverage and Tylenol is now manufactured in China. Each product shipped in from China and tested is showing contaminates of mercury, lead, poison chemicals, with contaminated poisoning of imported food products such as herbs and teas, poisoning Americans killing the culture that feeds China.
No longer are we allowed to choose what types of light blubs we want because there is a banning of the incandescent light bulb meant that General Electric, the largest maker of light bulbs, had to close all their plants in the US. The last factory closed in Winchester, VA. In September of 20l0. The jobs are now all in China.
Just when you think you have heard about all the possible contaminates here comes another creative idea the poor are being treated to fake rice made with plastic. Reports are coming from Singapore media that Chinese companies are mass producing fake rice made, in part, out of plastic, according to one online publication Very Vietnam. The “rice” is made by mixing potatoes, sweet potatoes and plastic. The potatoes are first formed into the shape of rice grains. Industrial synthetic resins are then added to the mix. The rice reportedly stays hard even after being cooked.
Fire destroys the land and Mother Nature can only bring it back with the help from the sun and watering the soil to provide the food to feed the animals. Dragons don’t maintain the ecological system they dominate, eat and burn it until the land is bare and dry.
Mature knowledgeable American business men and women are watching as their companies doors are closing and jobs are leaving American soil relocating to countries with cheap materials and poor labor skills. America was the land of creative ideas, manufacturing, clothing designs, farming with a passion to develop useful products and inventions that give our country the ability to become self supporting.
China known for farming, herbs and dictatorship to destroy and control millions of their people by way of torture with false charges, then selling body parts of those who spoke up and defied rulers, a one child family were baby girls were given up for adoption or killed at birth as they could not carry the family name. Now they have become an industrial machine expanding their goods throughout the world with America as their biggest consumer to change their economy to capitalism with Russia building a war machine and travel map to explore the moon.
Male dominated self-serving leadership does not spread the wealth but continues to kill the system that supports its own until it destroys the cities, land, crops and the people who labor to keep the country in abundance. When you destroy the people you destroy the land and no longer can a county like America continue spreading the wealth giving their time and money to charities and foreign dictatorship governments, these self-serving political talking heads will create fighting within their circle blaming one another until there is massive unrest among the males leading to riots and disruption of the economy such as in Egypt, Pakistan and spreading throughout dictatorship countries.
Leaders become dictators when they have never labored they are just talkers and lack common sense, feeding on greed. Their only goal is to suck up as much money, glory, attention, food and pleasures to appease their needs while the village people suffer begging for food and housing to survive as unemployed workers turn to food stamps, welfare and handouts creating a government dictatorship. This has become the land of the poor sick American eagle.
Under the Muslim Obama Administration (MOA) rules he could care less about the American eagle since he was not born and raised as a true natural American in the United States of America, yet he came here and used the Eagles resources to gain power and destroy the American way of life. Now he invites another reflection like himself to take part in consuming and bleeding America as they walk on the red carpet to the White House holding symbols of America’s Constitution.
When Obama met with China President Hu Jintao, at the White House on January 19, 2011 official gallery photos offered a glimpse of the bilateral meeting in the cabinet room only Hillary Clinton was present with two other women in side chairs. When Obama held another meeting with business leaders in the Eisenhower room, it was all males, representing a dominate male leadership of both leaders were money and power are pushed, women are considered unintelligent having no place in this type of discussion, developments or future agendas leading to backdoor deals to hide money and exchanging illegal trades that will not benefit the people of America.
This meeting shows Americans are being pushed into a third world emotional, financial and mental structure to destroy our spirit, creativity and freedom to work in our own country and create a better life. Yet government jobs have increased over one-hundred percent to overseeing the American public treating them as criminals and losers. Government jobs do not produce a marketable consumer product they back charge the consumer with increased taxes and fees by way of fear based agendas to reduce the mature experienced productive labor in America.

American Citizens as Guinea Pigs
Part 8
X-ray Computed Tomography or CT scan
Since its introduction in the 1970s, CT Scans have become more and more popular as diagnostic tools. While the patient is receiving the three dimensional scan, outside of the room, a technician reads the 3-D image of the interior of the body on a computer.
CT scans save lives, but they also cause cancer. Of the 70 million scans done last year alone, double the number of a decade ago, at least 23 million of them were unnecessary. Fifteen thousand (15,000) Americans will die of cancer from the CT scans given in a single year, predict scientists from the National Cancer Institute.
Approximately four years ago I received an abdominal CT scan. Had I known what I know now, I would never have agreed to the procedure. I had gastritis, which is an inflammation of the lining of the stomach. However, the Gastroenterologist had, only weeks before, done an endoscopy on me and my stomach was fine. So, he assumed incorrectly that it couldn’t be gastritis and sent me for a CT scan of my pancreas and liver. The very expensive and high radiation scan showed I had gastritis. My doctor still didn’t believe it and because I don’t believe doctors are gods, I chose another physician. Yet, I understand that these tools are used by physicians to avoid lawsuits. They practice defensive medicine to save themselves from trial lawyers.
Good Housekeeping magazine, CBS, USA Today and countless other media outlets have recently exposed the new statistics regarding CT scans and cancer. How many decades have we heard that radiation causes cancer? It’s been even before the 1940s that scientists knew this. Previous articles in this series have exposed same. Yet, the medical field uses radiation (allegedly in small doses) to check for breast cancer, (mammography), dental problems (x-ray), broken bones (x-ray), and CT scans of the head, chest, abdomen, and full body. They promise to cut your risk of dying from cancer, yet full body CT scans themselves pose a real cancer risk according to the latest research.
The question is, “How much radiation is too much?” One CT head scan equals 30 chest x-rays, one CT chest scan equals 119 chest x-rays, one CT Abdomen scan equals 234 chest x-rays. The experts tell us that the risk of cancer from one CT scan is small, one in 1000. However, chronic conditions like kidney stones or Crohn’s disease or multiple health problems can have numerous CT scans ordered early in life and the radiation starts adding up and the end result is likely a cancer death.
X-rays from a single full-body CT scan give a dose of radiation equal to cancer-associated radiation doses in A-bomb survivors according to David J. Brenner, PhD, director of Columbia University’s center for radiological research. Brenner says if you have a single full-body CT scan in your life, your risks are very minimal, maybe one out of 1,200 would die of radiation induced cancer. However, if you’re doing this type of screening on a regular basis, then the radiation doses add up and the risks become quite high. Brenner says the radiation dose of one full-body CT scan is close to the doses received by Japanese survivors of atomic bombs. Each successive CT scan adds up more exposure.
For several years now freestanding clinics have been offering full-body CT scans to anyone who wants one. Ads for these clinics promise early detection of dangerous diseases such as cancer and heart disease. The idea is that a full-body CT scan will find tumors and other signs of disease in their earliest most treatable stages – before any symptoms of illness. This puts healthy individuals at a higher risk for cancer in 10 to 20 years. Nevertheless, CT scans are an aid in defining specific problems when symptoms are evident and no cause can be found in other diagnostics.
The come-ons are quite deceiving. One says, “A $99 lung scan could save your life! It’s a closer look that could make all the difference.” Another says, “Help save your life in seven minutes. HeartSaver CT can uncover heart disease…years before you exhibit symptoms.” And another, “You don’t know what’s inside until you look!” Unfortunately, unnecessary scans and radiation exposure like this can end up killing you.
In a recent survey of more than 100 physicians, 74% of those questioned significantly underestimated a patient’s risk of getting cancer from a single abdominal-pelvic CT scan. Only 17% said the risk of radiation influenced their decision to use CT scan. They are still viewing CT scans as innocuous as other radiological procedures, like regular bone x-rays, when in fact, the radiation dose with CT is hundreds of times higher. They aren’t even considering cancers that could be caused down the road from using these diagnostic scans. Another survey found that over 50% of the scans done were unnecessary. A Dutch study found that in roughly 50% of patients, CT heart scans had identified coronary blockages that actually weren’t there! Of course these imaging centers are profit centers for clinics and hospitals. Even doctors who aren’t radiologists have installed CT scanners in their offices. The revenues from insurance and Medicare induce the usage of scans for profit.
Sadly our own government has basically caused this situation with the passage of bills 30 years ago stating no one could be refused medical treatment for indigence. The cost to physicians, clinics, hospitals and emergency rooms skyrocketed and of course has been passed on to those who do have insurance and do pay their bills and the result is higher costs. As well, the medical community itself suffers losses and thus the desire to find ways wherein funds can be made in one area to compensate for losses in other areas.
In CT colon screens, as in colonoscopies, one still has to go through the wretched prep, but instead of being put under and having a probe inserted, many patients opt for the CT screening for colon cancer. However, this “virtual” colonoscopy is not as effective in finding and eliminating small precancerous polyps. Since there are cases of small polyps quickly becoming cancerous and the much higher risk of radiation from the scan, plus the need to still be sedated and have the polyps removed should they be seen on the scan, Medicare announced last year they would no longer cover the cost of virtual colonoscopies.
Cedar Sinai Medical Center in LA was under investigation for exposing patients to extremely high radiation overdoses resulting in patients losing their hair and reddening of their skin. The Cedar Sinai radiation overdose investigation focused on more than 200 patients who were given CT brain scans used to diagnose strokes. Cedar Sinai did their own investigation and what they found was shocking. The CT brain scan machine had been set to the higher dosage level from February of 2008 to August of 2009. The 206 patients who received CT brain scans in that time were exposed to eight times the normal radiation dosage levels. As a result of this finding, the FDA sent a nationwide alert to all hospitals to check their CT brain scan procedures and settings warning that undetected overdoses put “patients at increased risk for long-term radiation effects.” It is still unclear today whether the machine settings were the result of medical negligence or a deliberate act intended to expose these patients to overdoses of radiation.
A class action lawsuit has been filed by these patients and according to the lawyer handling the suit, the amount of radiation during a single CT scan can range from 1,000 to 10,000 millirems, depending on the machine and the settings. Evidence suggests that Japanese survivors of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki who were a mile or two from ground zero received about 3,000 millirems on average. The Cedar Sinai patients received eight times the normal dose. By the way, Cedar-Sinai is certified by the Joint Commission as a primary stroke center and is listed as one of the U.S. news and World Report’s best hospitals in 11 categories, including neurology and neurosurgery.
I doubt this is the only facility in the United States that has overdosed its patients. One patient stated that the only thing that happened after the overdose was discovered was a phone call from the facility to find out if he’d had hair loss.
Two studies in Archives in Internal Medicine show that CT scans deliver far more radiation than has been believed and may contribute to 29,000 new cancers each year, along with 14,500 deaths. One study led by the National Cancer Institute used existing exposure data to estimate how many cancers might be caused by CT scans. Another study in the journal suggested the problem is even worse. Researchers found that people may be exposed to up to four times as much radiation as estimated by earlier studies. Older studies relied on dummies with sensors, but new studies used 1,119 patients at four San Francisco area hospitals. Based on those higher measurements, a patient could get as much radiation from one CT scan as 74 mammograms or 442 chest X-rays.
Do I trust the AMA or FDA to monitor these various CT scans throughout all the different hospitals and clinics in the United States…my answer is obvious…NO! There are, however, a few things you can do to protect yourself.
- Ask why it’s necessary and what the doctor hopes to learn that can’t be learned via another diagnostic source.
- Check out the clinic or hospital ratings by the American College of Radiology. You can search accredited clinics in your area at acr.org/accreditation/accreditedfacilitysearch
- Request a shield to protect your breasts, reproductive organs and thyroid.
- If you’re pregnant, just say NO!
- Ask even more questions especially if it’s your child.
- Keep a list of all your radiation tests to give to any doctor asking for another. Lifetime radiation buildup is dangerous!
- Try to get a digital version of your completed scan to give to other physicians so you do not have to repeat the scan.
I will also mention that I am not against new technology that can save lives. I have a friend who had to have CT body scans because she was so ill and they found a contained cancer in one of her kidneys and removed the entire kidney. The CT scans she had saved her life. Nevertheless, this is not a diagnostic tool that should be used yearly or even for a checkup of heart, lung, or body. It is a tool that should only be used for severe symptoms and when no other diagnostic tool will give the proper answer.
Sadly, once again, the American citizen who is all too trusting of the medical industry has ended up being irradiated by machines that have no oversight and are used way too frequently for a diagnostic tool.

Planned Parenthood and Susan G. Komen
Part 1
Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, now Susan G. Komen for the Cure, was launched by Nancy Goodman Brinker in response to a promise she made her dying sister, Susan Goodman Komen, to do everything she could to eradicate breast cancer. Her sister died in 1980 at the age of 36.
Every October (breast cancer awareness month) becomes the push for donations to Susan G. Komen. Last October I wanted to buy some China on sale at a local department store and unless I gave $1.00 to Komen for every discount coupon (I needed five), I couldn’t get the sale price. It reminded me of the corporate offices I’d worked for that had pushed for 100% participation in United Way donations. The upper management would actually harass you to give and wanted deductions from your paychecks! I would give one penny, that way they could say they got 100% donations, but it still irritated me. We all have a right to choose to refuse!
The reason I won’t give to Susan G. Komen is simple. For years pro-lifers like me have opposed contributing to SGK because it not only denies that induced abortions may cause breast cancer, it also bestows financial grants to Planned Parenthood affiliates allegedly for breast cancer screening. Planned Parenthood claims their community grants are restricted and closely monitored to provide vital breast health education, screening and treatment services for underserved women. But for every dollar Komen donates to Planned Parenthood, another dollar from another source is freed up to promote and perform abortion. Since the Susan G. Komen Foundation began giving grants to Planned Parenthood, purportedly for breast health services, the number of women receiving breast health services from Planned Parenthood has decreased. According to Planned Parenthood’s 2003-2004 Annual Report, abortions increased by 14,000 in 2002-2003, which breast exams decreased by more than 141,000. We have now reached the ungodly number of over 53 million aborted babies. How can we expect God to bless our nation when we kill the innocents in the womb and the elderly in their sick beds?
Between 2004 and 2009, SGK affiliates gave $3.3 million to Planned Parenthood. In Fiscal Year 2009 alone, Planned Parenthood got $731,303 from SGK. It really doesn’t matter the amount inasmuch as anyone that believes in choosing life as God’s Word states, (Deut.30:19) and are trying to save people with a disease like breast cancer, don’t want any part of their monies going to an organization that funds abortion providers.
SGK seems to speak out of both sides of their mouths. Their website states that childbearing protects women from breast cancer, and the more children a mother bears and the younger she begins bearing them the better. They also acknowledge breast feeding protects against breast cancer. Abortion however, blocks all those preventative measures. It has even been found that breast cancer survivors lower their risk of dying by 42% simply by getting pregnant, but again, abortion blocks that protection. SGK acknowledges never having children increases a women’s risk of getting breast cancer, and delaying childbearing, particularly after 35, also increases the risk. Abortion increases the risk of both those risks.
Eric Winer, the chief scientific advisor for Susan G. Komen for the Cure believes the Planned Parenthood criticisms are unfounded. He states a relationship with two Catholic ethicists, Ron Hamel and Michael Panicola, both Ph.D.’s. Winer claims these men examined the moral implications of SGK’s funding and concluded it was permissible for the church to be involved with Komen in light of its funding of Planned Parenthood. But get this, the Hamel/Panicola opinion, published on the now infamous, pro-Obamacare Catholic Health Association’s website, www.chausa.org/WorkArea/DownloadAsset.aspx?id=6357 is really a piece of work. It reads like the letters you receive from your congress critters that answer none of your questions and talk totally around the issue and then thank you for your interest.
SGK will argue there is no concrete evidence that abortion contributes to breast cancer and now statistics even show that early use of hormone contraception also contributes to breast cancer just as hormone replacement therapy has been found to do. Eric Winer has also dismissed the proven link between abortion and breast cancer even though there are many studies and clinical professionals who agree, including Angela Lanfranchi, M.D., who writes in a Breast Cancer Prevention Institute brochure, http://www.bcpinstitute.org/reproductive.htm#R4 “The later in pregnancy an abortion is done, the higher the risk of breast cancer as the more Type 1 and 2 lobules will have formed. Induced abortion leaves a woman with more places for breast cancer to start.
Karen Malec, spokesperson for the Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer says Komen does not tell women the truth that abortion increases breast cancer risk in three ways:
- By delaying a first full term pregnancy (a risk recognized by all experts) the woman loses her chance to mature 85% of her cancer-susceptible breast lobules into full cancer resistant lobules at a younger age. Full maturity takes place throughout the last months of pregnancy.
- Almost all of the childless women’s breast lobules are cancer–susceptible Type 1 and 2 lobules. Up to 95% of all breast cancers arise in these lobules. The breasts grow during pregnancy because of an increase of estrogen which is a cancer causing agent, thereby causing the lobules to multiply. The woman who aborts before lobule maturation is completed is left with more places in her breasts for cancers to start.
- The Institute of Medicine lists abortion as a risk factor for premature birth…and premature birth before 32 weeks gestation increases the mother’s breast cancer risk. Through the abortion-premature birth link, the woman is left with more places in her breasts for cancers to start.
Even Komen states on its own website that a large analysis that combined results of many studies found that while women were taking birth-control pills (and shortly thereafter), they had a 10 to 30 percent higher risk of breast cancer than women who had never taken birth control pills.
As for the emergency contraceptive pill, which contains 10-15 times the amount of artificial hormones as a single birth-control pill, its labeling states it is contraindicated if one has a current or past history of breast cancer. In fact it appears hormonal contraceptives are more seriously implicated in breast cancer than previously known.
A 2009 study published in Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention showed that the risk for women under 40 of contracting a newly identified and virulent form of the disease called triple-negative breast cancer rose by 320% if using hormonal contraceptives for a year or more.”
This same study co-authored in part by two of the very National Cancer Institute researchers who in 2003 denied a link between abortion and breast cancer, also acknowledged a 40% increased risk of contracting breast cancer under the age of 40 if a woman had had an abortion. http://www.anglican-mainstream.net/2010/01/08/national-cancer-institute-researcher-admits-abortion-breast-cancer-link/
Karen Malek says, “Komen perpetuates the breast cancer epidemic by giving funds to Planned Parenthood. As a seller of hormonal contraceptives and abortions, Planned Parenthood is the primary cause of the breast cancer epidemic.”
Although the funds are supposedly intended for breast cancer screenings, Komen has no way of ensuring that the funds are used exclusively for that purpose instead of its cancer-causing activities.
Several of the Catholic dioceses have withdrawn their support for Komen for these reasons as well as Komen’s endorsement of experiments on embryonic humans.
Other SGK Connections to Planned Parenthood
A pro-lifer in Washington State discovered on Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest’s (PPGNW) IRS 990 forms that it has held a 12.5% share in Metro Centre, a mall in Peoria, Illinois since 2006. PPGNW is Washington’s largest abortion provider and is currently under investigation for Medicaid fraud. Metro Centre is owned by Eric Brinker who is the son of Nancy Goodman Brinker, the founder of SGK. Eric also sits on SGK’s board. Brinker claimed the 12.5% Planned Parenthood inherited from one of the original stockholders, but they’ve never sold their shares.
Brinker also states that only “20 of Komen’s 122 U.S. affiliates fund breast health services through local Planned Parenthood clinics.” But what is interesting is two of those 20, Komen Puget Sound and Komen Boise, fund Brinker’s business partner, PPGNW.
Part 2
Komen Board Members and Staff
Nancy Brinker, founder of SGK Foundation, has served on the advisory board of Planned Parenthood of Dallas. In 2003, Planned Parenthood received a record $475,000 from Susan G. Komen affiliates all across the nation and Planned Parenthood of Dallas built a new facility costing $5 million dollars. Nancy Brinker received the Gertrude Shelburne Humanitarian Award from Planned Parenthood of North Texas in 1996. Gertrude Shelburne established Planned Parenthood in Dallas in 1982, and was a friend of Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood.
Eve Sanchez-Silver, former SGK Foundation National Hispanic/Latina Advisory Council member, resigned after discovering the connection between the Komen Foundation and Planned Parenthood.
Lisa Custard, current member of the Susan G. Komen Foundation National Board of Directors, is pictured and listed in the Planned Parenthood of North Texas newsletter as a donor.
Monica Leonard of the Sacramento Valley Susan G. Komen Affiliate had a prior job at Planned Parenthood Golden Gate and Komen lists this on their Sacramento Affiliate website.
Philadelphia Komen Affiliate Board Member John Briggs has also served on the advisory board for Planned Parenthood.
The form 990 for Susan G. Komen for the cure is at this website: http://www.guidestar.org/FinDocuments//2009/751/835/2009-751835298-05c074f1-9A.pdf How many miles do those thousands of volunteers need to “walk for the cure” just to meet the payroll of the Executive Board? If you add up the 2009 annual compensation (salary & benefits) listed on page 59 for 17 employees, the grand total is $3,859,117.00. You do the math.
In Support of Each Other
Planned Parenthood of North Texas gave an award to the co-chair of the Ft. Worth Race for the Cure.
Planned Parenthood of North Texas thanked the Susan G. Komen Foundation Collin and Tarrant County Affiliates in their newsletter for granting Planned Parenthood of North Texas $46,430 in 2004.
Planned Parenthood of Southeast Michigan formed a team for the Susan G. Komen Detroit Race for Cure.
Susan G. Komen Colorado Springs Affiliate hosted a health fair where they included “health partners” Planned Parenthood.
Susan G. Komen lists the local Planned Parenthood Health Centers as a resource on most of their affiliate websites and vice versa.
Susan G. Komen and Planned Parenthood are both involved in the Texas Medical Center Women’s Health Network.
Planned Parenthood of Southeast Michigan participated in the Susan G. Komen Lee National Denim Day in 2001.
Planned Parenthood of Lubbock is listed as a sponsor of the Lubbock Race for the Cure in 1998 and 1999.
Eugenics or Cure?
Planned Parenthood over the years has stated in their literature such things as the elimination of child care, medical attention, scholarships, housing, loans, and subsidies to poor families. It has openly stated maternity benefits should be drastically reduced or even eliminated, substantial across-the-board marriage and child taxes being imposed, and large families not being given preferential charitable relief. Saying Planned Parenthood is an advocate for the poor is an outright lie. For Susan G. Komen to lead people to believe poor women are getting breast exams at Planned Parenthood and not being propagandized by their programs is ludicrous. Planned Parenthood is instead a great oppressor and exploiter of the poor. Its image-conscious rhetoric of compassion is Orwellian doublespeak. It is not involved primarily in “family planning,” but is instead involved in “family banning.”
Finally and most importantly, Planned Parenthood is by no means privately funded. The truth is, a vast proportion of Planned Parenthood’s funding at every level, from the local level to the international level, comes right out of the American taxpayer’s pockets. It has become for all intents and purposes an unofficial, and thus unrestrained and unrestricted branch of the federal government and part of the population control plan. See this link http://www.lifenews.com/2010/12/17/nat-6944/
There was a recent expose of a Planned Parenthood affiliate aiding a pimp’s underage sex ring. The organization that put this on YouTube is a group of young pro-lifers called LiveAction. Their website is http://liveaction.org/planned-parenthood-racism-project and the video is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=L9Zj9yx2j0Y
Live Action has audio from phone calls to Planned Parenthood in various states that agree to take donations that specifically target donating to fund aborting black babies. The caller says there are too many blacks and he wants to reduce the minority population. Planned Parenthood agrees that he just needs to specify that on his donation and they will honor his request.
Dr. Alveda King, pro-life advocate and niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, has kind words for Live Action group and takes issue with Susan G. Komen’s statements that there’s no conclusive proof abortion causes breast cancer. She states, “Giving Planned Parenthood money is part of an insidious cycle. Breast cancer is linked to abortions, Planned Parenthood gives abortions and then they turn around and give you mammograms, ‘We are going to give you breast cancer then we are going to turn around and let you know that you have it, and then we are going to get with this great organization and raise money to treat it,’” she said.
I hope this article reaches enough pro-lifers that they’ll understand funding Susan G. Komen is working against God’s command to CHOOSE LIFE! And yes, there are other groups collecting funds for breast cancer research that have no connections to pro-abort groups.
Finally, let me end from some words sent to me by a dear friend who lives because her mother’s abortion failed. She is one of the finest Christian women I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. She wrote the following words to me:
“Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.” Ps. 37:1-2
“We need to appropriate such promises to ourselves in times such as these when the continuing headlines night and day are of one calamity or threat after another. Unless we had the unchangeable Word of God to cling to we would have long ago given into the pressures all around us, but history proves that what He has said He will do. We could greatly expedite His promises by daily praying for faith to trust Him more, realizing that the day is coming when He will reign supreme and all those who have walked in His steps. Not only will we be strengthened for the rest of the journey, but we will give increased courage to those whose eyes are upon us as those who profess to be followers of the one true God and Christ. Remain faithful. It is the only way to live and not simply exist.”

Banks Need Women Executives to Stabilize Financial Institutions
By Linda Frances Marie
Banks in America hire women as assistants, tellers and managers but keep them from holding executive positions, only a few ever achieve this level for a short time as coupons to attract investors. Why? Women are not allowed as they are too honest and by male bankers standards honesty holds no ground for money, yet women are excellent with details for first mortgages, equity lines of credit, budgets, savings, organizers and planning long term investments with a positive return. Male customers prefer communicating with women as they are more likely to be honest and male bankers know women bring in the saving accounts, credit customers and investments and use them as a customer service front to up profits. Women are patient and have a superior level in communicating with the public.
Bankers are a corrupt breed of men who take risks and hold no respect for there investors. They answer to the Board of Directors who are just as corrupt. Within this core they have one thing in common taking risks to make money and they hold no friendship, and they will do anything to maintain their status as they continue taking risks investing and giving unstable loans, then buying risky investments, and foreclosing on property as quickly as possible with confusing red tape fees on mortgage loans they buy and sell playing the shell game moving the deed to your property from one peanut shell (bank) to the other peanut shell (mortgage lenders).
One of the big issues raised by the credit crunch is the Lehman Sisters question: whether banks might not have collapsed so spectacularly if there were more women in senior positions. We can never know for sure, but there are strong suspicions: a survey for consultancy the Aziz Corporation suggested business executives thought macho culture was at least in part to blame for the financial crisis, with 89% saying an environment that encouraged and rewarded excessive risk-taking was at the heart of it, and 83% believing the failure to understand risk was fuelled by machismo. Almost half of respondents and a majority of those working in financial firms thought more women in senior positions could have prevented some of the excesses.
Moreover, several studies show a link between profit and gender. Companies with several high-ranking women at either officer or director levels tend to have higher earnings per share, return on equity and stock prices than competitors with few or no senior women. Look at some of the more stunning losses incurred at banks in recent years: Barings, Société Générale and UBS. All were caused by men betting with other people’s money.
Four high profile males (Alan Greenspan, Robert Rubin, Timothy Geithner, Lawrence “Larry” Summers) worked there way into back door investments gambling with investor’s funds then where appointed under the Obama Administration economic team of advisers damaging the American economy. Long before the meltdown, one women tried to warn about a threat to the financial system, but the gambling continued as they set-up to destroy this female attorney who questioned their financial threat as they lied to Congress. When (Senator Phil Gramm R-Texas) asked What are you trying to protect? Brooksley Born, a security legal attorney with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission replied “Where trying to protect the money of the American public which is at risk in these markets”. Six months later there game in the hedge funds derivatives secret bank investments caused a melt down of the financial markets a documentary aired on (PBS.org Frontline “The Warning”) tracked bankers and those who confirmed what was done to shut Brooksley up from exposing their gambling without regulation, which caused American’s to loose there homes, savings, investments and jobs.
A comparison of behavioral trends in financial management found in a report indicates that from the 1950’s to today society has moved from an era in which women, while responsible for financial survival of the household, were kept in the dark and in many cases were denied independent access to financial services, until financial changes where implemented women where not allowed to own property unless a male co-signed. Several countries are still in the dark ages with dominating males stopping women from establishing bank accounts. But that will change as a new wave of micro loans is being implemented by Nobel Peace Prize winning bank Professor Mohammad Yunus, who founded the Grameen bank; lending money to women he found that when women did take the loans the impact on the family was greater and more positive than if the money was borrowed by men. “Nowadays most of our borrowers are women and our bank has become a global organization with a 99 percent repayment rate.
A female bank manager with a California bank that has a secure financial base of customers was asked at a meeting, which of the two genders male or female are likely to survive the recession? She stated “males with loans who own business have failed and defaulted, they are high risk” and how many businesses operated and owned by women have failed with loans held by your branch or other branches? None of the females with our bank have defaulted on there loans.
Several males I spoke with tried to get loans at different banks and where turned down for different reasons such as; you need a bachelor’s degree in business and financial management, not enough collateral, even when they wanted to establish a loan using a savings account as collateral. Yet several women I spoke with who owned a business where able to get loans. Why? Each one presented a financial plan for there business with different levels of returns when the economy would slow and had a record of not missing payments. If they were concerned they brought this to the bank and were given another plan of correction until there returns increased, they were not taking risks.
Financial institutions in foreign countries for the first time have appointed women after the huge loss and scandals robbed investors breaking down the government’s financial stability. The media has not shown this in America, yet it is in foreign websites and broadcast in other countries this has become big news “can women bankers as investment managers get us out of the economic mess that their male colleagues got us into?” Will it take women to ensure the future of financial institutions? The answer is Yes. Women have values, they are careful and very risk-aware as males are risk takers and females ask stupid questions when they don’t understand and they think in long terms with plans towards a positive value of investments and they think more about the people.
One of the best known funds was managed by a woman Sue Wagner was just 26 when she and seven others founded BlackRock twenty-one years ago. Now she’s a lead on its $13.5 billion Barclays Global Investors acquisition. The deal will create the world’s biggest asset manager.
As an Executive Assistant I personally have experienced and witnessed how banks operated some are honest but others are corrupt. Bank of America is leading the charge with the worst reputation for hiding crimes within there system. A female interior designer had thrifty-five thousand dollars taken out of her account by way of an inside transfer she was unaware until she checked the account. She was contacted by the FBI and told to not disclose it to friends, family or media, then discovered five other bank customers also where missing funds.
When second mortgages became popular Bank of America hired hot shot male executives that ram roded long time female managers out by harassment. Carol a female manger with eighteen years mortgage banking experience was up for an executive position. I received a call from this newly hired executive male wonder boy telling me that the female manager had some issues and he wanted me to look over her shoulder as she wasn’t doing her job. I personally knew this was a lie and rejected his request, within weeks he started harassing her and implemented illegal procedures to gain customers for second line of mortgages. He changed there policies and they started operating illegally just under the law without licensed brokers to unsuspecting homeowners to market lines of equity credit.
This same bank took over Country Wide’s mortgages and then merged with Merrill Lynch stocks to become one of the big brother banks that have foreclosed on unsuspecting customers.
Another one of their ideas was to train tellers from foreign countries as they took our money and asked personnel questions. This was the beginning of out sourcing as this bank brought in second language tellers from the Middle East and India to train in America allowing them access to bank accounts to enter deposits and ask personal questions about customer’s finances.
You have rights as a consumer when doing business with a bank. Here are some suggestions:
Before opening an account ask about the Board of Directors. How many executive women hold positions of responsibility and are not just front tokens? Ask to see this posted in writing by a bank website or hard copy.
When making a deposit, withdrawals, opening an accounting or mortgage loan, request a female executive who can work with you holding a signature authorization, if you are given an excuse take your money elsewhere. Don’t risk your money or investment by doing business with banks that are against women executives and have a rip-off consumer reputation.
Ask to see a financial report of the banks investments, types of loans and total savings accounts and compare it with their liabilities.
When banks send you offer’s of free money these are considered a savings bonus, and taxable by the IRS as interest earning income with strings attached such as monthly service fees and very low Annual Percentage Yield (APY).
Gift cards offered by your bank are not free as they link you into a monthly financial service association membership fees offered by marketing groups not associated with a retailer on the gift cards or your bank. This allows websites to watch your spending habits and gain personal information about your life style for marketing there products and ways into your pocket book.
Banks get kick backs for selling your information to affiliated financial groups with your banks logo to gain your trust, “read the fine print”.
Ask for an opt-out request form to be removed off the list of information sharing as bankers are selling there customers personal information. Many of these marketing promotions have no phone or address for you to stop them from sending a flood of advertising mail filling your mailbox and wasting your time shredding and a continuation of sales calls and surveys to add you to there webmasters profit database.
On-line banking holds high risk for your account numbers and personal information to be stolen. Check your accounts by a direct phone line and write original checks or use duplicate copy checks.
Use checking account investment software to post your checks and saving account, credit cards and investments to avoid incorrect totals, missed checks and overdrafts charges. You can confirm your check totals and have less of a chance for over draft charges and bounced checks. It’s your money and life, learn how to keep it.

Glenn Beck is correct – absolutely, positively correct – when he recognizes that our Constitutional government is being attacked from the top and from the bottom. But the problem is, we need to know who controls the top and who controls the bottom. The answer is, and has been before us for generations, but it is so simple and so huge that most people cannot see it and believe it.
Those at the top have to be in a position to gain the cooperation of wealthy and influential people, legislators, judges, and also the Presidents themselves. They need to have great influence on the international scene. They need to have an organization with a large following that is able to influence other organizations. It must attract people of all religions and be trusted without question by a large percentage of its members. It must have power to influence media. Does such an organization exist? It most certainly does, and you or one of your groups may be a part of it.
Those at the bottom have to have strong leadership, be able to influence educational policy, gain citizen cooperation, form and convince activist groups to make demands, and block the efforts of those who dare to oppose them.
I am not so smart that I could figure out who represents the top and who represents the bottom all by myself, but I am good at research and making sense of what other people and news sources have written.
My first and most important instructor was the crazy Frenchman Auguste Comte who lived from 1798 to 1857. Can you believe the United States are in the process of being taken over by a system set up more than a century and one half ago by a long dead Frenchman? If you can’t possibly believe it, you will never know what hit you when you lose whatever freedom is left in our country. After more than 150 years it is still possible to make accurate predictions about group behavior by studying Comte’s plan of control.
Comte called the management of groups of people a science, “social science.” But think about this: if there is a true science of managing groups of people, and if it is 100% successful, everyone would live according to the plans of these “social scientists” and no one would be free to make his own decisions.
Social science cannot exist with individual freedom or Constitutional government. We cannot be both free and controlled. It is either social science or freedom. If the management of people is accepted as a science, personal freedom is impossible. Social “scientists” would become the world’s culture designers.
If the idea of such a total design and world re-construction seems to you to be outside the realm of possibility, do not assume that everyone else shares your doubts. The influential Harvard psychologist, B. F. Skinner, for example, not only advocated world re-construction, he also did his part to alter human behavior to bring it about.
Skinner taught that under the new culture design people would have to give up such principles as happiness, freedom, and virtue. In exchange they are promised order, predictability, control, uniformity, efficiency, and freedom from all personal feelings, thoughts, associations, obligations, and punishments.
Our children in public schools and young adults in college are taught to believe in social “sciences” and to try to change the world by participating in projects suggested by social “scientists.” Millions of students are graduated every year obsessed with the idea that they must work with change agents and participate in “changing the world” or “making a difference.”
It does not matter to the change agents whether the young fanatics join with those at the top or those at the bottom so long as they join some kind of a world-changing group.
*************
What about the students and others who follow world changers at the “top?” What is the organization that works to keep them involved in bringing about the World Management System? Unless you do further research beginning with the articles at the end of this discussion you will be inclined to reject the thought. However, research proves that the organizations these followers use and trust are the United States and the International Chambers of Commerce.
I have heard others say and write: No, it is the Masons, the Catholics, the Jews, the Illuminati, the Trilateral Commission, the Humanists, the Muslims, the Zionists, etc. etc. etc. I would not argue with them, but I would point out that if their theory is true they would have to prove the group they have chosen is also in charge of the social “sciences” and the U.S. and International Chambers of Commerce.
As Glenn Beck keeps reminding his audience, do your own research. I hope you will start with some or all of the following articles:

A recent survey undertaken by The Pew Research Center For People and the Press people-press.org reveals,” the internet is slowly closing in on television as Americans’ main source of national and international news.”
According to the survey,” currently, 41% say they get most of their news about national and international news from the internet, which is little changed over the past two years but up 17 points since 2007.”
These results are not surprising when you consider the trends toward “thinking green.” I recently read The Prepared Parent’s Operational Manual: sending Your Child To College by Marie Pinak Carr. Chapter 6 “Green is Not only for trees,” outlines ways to create a green dorm room. It includes suggestions for reading newspapers online, rather than buying them.
Pinak Carr asserts, “Our current economy presents the perfect excuse for college freshman to re-use and recycle rather than buy new.”
The author also noted, “Reduce, reuse and recycle. Think bio-degradable and breatheable.” In light of those ideas, Pinak Carr suggests, ” Instead of purchasing newspapers, read them online. Remember the greenest paper is no paper at all.”

I journaled November’s grocery shopping and I must say, I’m pretty pleased…
I took a moment today and picked up a notebook I had in my everything tote (that’s where my wallet is, my small Bible, misc notebooks and pens.) In November I dove back into couponing aggressively, I wanted to see what I really spent-vs-saved for a month. I wrote down everything, from the great shops that netted a 98% savings to the trips just for a gallon of milk and some creamer. I can honestly say I was really surprised. This included buying all of our regular items that rarely go on sale and the gourmet coffee my husband can’t do with out (yes, me too). I also realized why we really didn’t spend much on groceries this month (December).
The total value of groceries that we purchased in November was $768.71… mind you this is double to triple what we usually spend, but that’s okay because we stayed in our budget for the month having only actually paid cash out of pocket $243.15. I was blown away!! We had saved $525.56 on groceries by shopping with coupons!
It has allowed us to buy some of the things I don’t usually buy… cookie, brownie and cake mix, to have around for events, company or baking with our granddaughter. She’s only 2 and a half but loves to help, even if it’s only setting cookie dough on a tray or stirring brownie batter.
In December I didn’t save as much, but I didn’t spend much because we didn’t have to get many things. This helped stretch a tight Christmas budget.
I look at this as a good relearning experience, I saved as much as some part-time jobs pay and I did it from home. Even if I don’t save $500 a month, saving $250 should be a piece of cake and will produce a couple of really positive sides; A full pantry plus some extra stock of some items, and over $3000 in savings over the course of a year. Shoot, only a $50 a month savings still adds up to $600 in a year and that’s a small credit card paid off.
In a tight economy it’s both prudent and wise to spend your money with a plan. Who is a good prospect to be a couponer?
People who are are unemployed or underemployed right now.
Young couples with children who want to have mom home with the kids.
People who want to become debt free… figure how much faster you can pay your bills down when you aren’t spending it all on your groceries.
People who simply want to spend smart.
TLC did a special on Extreme Couponers, and though I don’t go to these extremes the principles are all solid and fully implementable on many levels.
An online site with a ton of info is Krazy Coupon Lady. http://thekrazycouponlady.com/ She was one of the couponer’s featured in the TLC show and her website has a lot of great info on it.

Tuesday, December 28th, 2010 by Mary Smith
A while back my pondering went to the thought of… “Are you always thankful? No matter the circumstances?” This is an area I think we all struggle with at times…..
During the month of November the focus is upon the Thanksgiving Holiday. So I posted the above question to my Facebook friends and got a variety of responses. One of those mentioned something that I participated in last November and I did again: Each day I posted something I am thankful for.
Doing this caused me to reflect on each day. In general most people take so much of life for granted, but every day really is a unique gift. A bonus to this is that it caused me to become more appreciative of what I do have, where I live and those around me… looking outward is good for a person.
If we don’t know how to appreciative what we do have then why do any of us think that more ’stuff’ will make it all better?
I think that it is in the good times that we are most likely to take everything for granted and in the hard times the default is to gripe and whine about what we don’t have. The trick to maintaining a balance in life is to remain thankful at all times.
This daily posting also was a good way to launch into the next holiday, Christmas… during December I tried to keep a focus on the Reason for the season, Jesus. Keeping the heart of looking outward a priority. Instead of allowing the comercialization of the holiday keep us bound in the “I want, I need, I have to have” syndrome.
We are in an economy where people of all classes are facing tough times, some have been there before and will come out just fine. Others have never faced it before and may be having to learn a new way to tackle life when ‘Easy Street’ becomes the hard road, again some will come through stronger and possibly better people for having to go through it, and some will lose hope and focus, I pray for these that they find something outside of themselves on which to draw new strength (my true prayer is that they find strength in Christ).
I can say that the habit of looking outward is something that I feel strongly can benefit us, everyday of our life, in everything we do. I was raised in a home where community service was a big part of our family life. As an adult, I haven’t gone the route of being in a ’service organization’ persay, but rather living a life of service through activities in church and my day to day life. When we quit ‘navel gazing’ (I love this term coined by my Pastor) and we look beyond ourselves then life becomes a lot more interesting and worth getting active in.
So here is my closing thought, finish 2010 with a thankful heart for what you do have, not grieving what you don’t and enter 2011 with the resolve to look outward first, be thankful for what you do have and for the gift of the life you’ve been given… though there are many folks with very little – remember, there are those with nothing at all.
Be blessed and if I don’t get another entry up before Saturday… Happy New Year!

Feminists make the grandiose claim to speak for all women. And since women are a powerful voice in this country, our government falls for the notion that rejecting the demands of feminists somehow conveys scorn and hatred for women and their “needs.” It apparently never occurs to either feminists or elected officials that significantly lower taxes on the average American family would go a whole lot farther in freeing the women of this country from bondage.
Contrary to their claim to speak for all women, feminists sure as heck don’t speak for the strong, self-confident women of Real America. While a significant majority of small town and rural women work outside the home, they don’t work because they’re power-driven career women. First of all, “careers” are few and far between outside of cities; and second, Real America women know what really matters in life… and it’s not their job title and paycheck. When they work, they work to help put food on the table, not bolster their fragile egos or entertain a vendetta against men.
If a Professor of Women’s Studies from Feminist U were to descend on most any town in middle America and begin to preach the gospel according to feminism, most women (and men) would look at her with polite bewilderment bordering on wonder (wondering whether she’s a lunatic, that is).
Feminists are convinced that working eight or nine hours a day for strangers is somehow more noble and worthy than working eight or nine hours a day for your family. Is a career teaching kindergarten somehow more dignified and less stultifying than teaching one’s own children? Feminists think so.
Suzanne Venker in her excellent book “The Seven Myths of Working Mothers” writes, “But feminist groups are not as influential as they might hope, at least not in their own right. They have a considerable amount of help from their friends in the media. This is the group with the real power. While journalists cannot say outright – as their gender feminist friends can – that mothers should work outside the home, they still manage to convey the message that no woman in her right mind would choose full-time motherhood as a profession.”
Yes, women have been freed up from the drudgery of housework by forcing legal and social changes encouraging women to leave home and work. But wait, there’s more! Housework still needs to be done. Toilets need cleaning. Dishes need washing. Laundry needs doing. So what’s a feminist to do?
She hires someone – a woman – to do these things for her while she, the enlightened feminist, retreats to her legal briefs or stethoscopes and congratulate herself on her advancement. She leaves the poor drudging housekeeper the keys and tells her to do all the dirty work in her life. She leaves the bewildered kids at the poor drudging daycare workers’ establishment and tells her to do all the mothering for her. Women are still doing women’s jobs. But feminists have freed themselves only by (cough) oppressing their drudging sisters. But it’s okay, you see, because the drudging daycare workers and house cleaners get paid for it. So all is right in this twisted world where paychecks supersede all moral responsibilities and obligations to home and family.
What hard-core feminists who happily and voluntarily place their children in daycare won’t admit is most of them can’t handle the job of motherhood. Personally I don’t find this an admirable trait.
So what am I suggesting? That feminism be banished or something?
No of course not. Can’t be done. Pandora’s box has been opened and it’s impossible to close it. There will always be a vocal segment of women who simply have no interest in domesticity and hates anyone who does.
But just as the last thing to emerge from Pandora’s box was the fluttering, ethereal, wispy ghost of Hope, so I find hope among the rural and small town women of America, as well as their stay-at-home urban sisters. These are the women carrying on the torches of family strength and true femininity, who are not threatened by the thought of using their innate strength and power to cultivate future generations rather than reduce themselves to mere workhorse drones whose only worth is calculated by the decimal points on a paycheck.
And I’ll remind the feminists that abolishing a nuclear family unit that has served western civilization with great effectiveness for thousands of years in favor of a feminist viewpoint that’s been around for four decades is a dumb idea.
But hey, it’s just my opinion.

(Part 1 of Women Against Women can be read here; Part 2 can be read here; Part 3 can be read here.)
The devastating effects of feminism from the 60’s and 70’s linger on, filling our cities with fatherless children who wreak havoc on society, raised by stressed and unfulfilled women who pause in their busy commute on their way home to pick up their sick children from daycare and wonder when the “having it all” part starts.
Feminists have gotten their way. In a massive social experiment lasting for four decades, we’ve seen the repercussion of the feminist movement to reconfigure or outright abolish the traditional family. The results are in, and the results are disastrous.
“In 1960,” writes Kate O’Beirne in Women Who Make the World Worse, “only 9 percent of all children lived in single-parent households. Presently in the United States, almost one-third of children are born to single mothers. A larger number of children will see their parents divorced before their eighteenth birthday. Two-thirds of black children are born out of wedlock. Over half of American children will spend all or part of their childhood without their father in the home.” And this is progress?
Feminists have grievously damaged women by promoting sexual promiscuity and equating the female casual sexual encounter with the male casual sexual encounter. Biologically speaking, sex has FAR greater ramifications for women than men.
These ramifications are two-fold. First (and most obviously), women are the ones who can get pregnant. When they engage in casual sex outside of marriage, no matter how strong the birth control used, pregnancy is a possible result.
Second and more subtle (though far more powerful)…when sex becomes meaningless recreation, when premarital virginity has lost its power… then men no longer have any reason to dance on the ends of puppet strings in an effort to please women. Not to sound too clichéd here, but why buy the cow if you’re getting the milk for free?
When women lose their femininity, that mysterious mystical entity that so attracts and tames men, then they’ve lost their womanhood. At that point, women become nothing more than men without the anatomy. Whee.
A direct fallout of sexual promiscuity is the oversexualization you see in today’s media, much of it directed at innocent children. After all, followed to its logical conclusion, if sex is meaningless recreation then what’s wrong with having sex with younger and younger kids as long as the kid is “willing”?
The Law of Unintended Consequences – the fallout, if you will – of the feminist movement has been the devastation of the family unit. Or maybe it wasn’t unintentional – maybe it was fully premeditated. In their quest to eliminate the traditional family – working father, stay-at-home mother, children – feminists have destroyed the foundation of this country that has nurtured stable children for millennia. Radical feminists applaud this, but those of us in Flyover Country look aghast at the bewildered, daycare-raised children and feel intense pity that our society is going down the toilet.
Feminism has made young women afraid or ashamed to choose homemaking as a career. It has wreaked more havoc, chaos, and broken families on generations of children than nearly any other force at work in America today. Feminists’ support of no-fault divorce laws has freed men from their obligation to support their wives and children. Feminists’ support of working mothers over stay-at-home moms has resulted in weakened family ties.
And feminists hate men. Their general contempt of men and masculinity has emasculated our men and made them become a generation of immature boy-men, unwilling or unable to defend us when the need arises. Feminists refuse to acknowledge the benefits of traditional male strengths. In fact, they are actively scornful of these traits. Men are physically strong, mentally stoic, and innately wired to protect women and children. Yeah yeah, I know there are males out there who don’t embrace those qualities, but those are males, not men. Big difference.
But feminists turn their harshest fury not upon men, but upon women who disagree with them. (Watch them rake ME over the coals!). Simply on principle, feminists must assassinate the character of anyone who disagrees with their tenets.
Women who are not feminists are traitors to, uh, the sisterhood or something. In other words, freedom of “choice” (feminists’ favorite buzzword) only applies to the choices of which the feminists approve. The choice to become a housewife, the choice to have lots of children, the choice to stay home with them, and the choice to encourage a husband to provide for his family are all choices bitterly disdained by feminists.
Feminists hate the idea of large families, and look with utter contempt at the Middle America tendency toward having more than one child (I know many families with seven and eight children and who would welcome more). They look at career mothers as women who are too stupid to recognize their oppression.
The operative word for a lot of how feminism is expressed is hate. But why? Why do feminists hate being women so much? Shrug – who knows. Undoubtedly some had the misfortune to be raised by feminist mothers who essentially told them that girls were weak and boys were strong, and so it’s better to be like a boy. Some were raised by brutal males (not by men – there is a difference) who taught their daughters that men are physically powerful and that males are to be feared and hated.
But unfortunately a vast majority of feminists came from nice ordinary families, but were trained toward the feminist mentality because the feminist mentality is rampant in our public schools. From kindergarten through graduate school, girls are taught that they can do anything and be anything…except a happy homemaker, of course. Homemaking is a cop out, a serious waste of intelligence, and a weak thing to do.
Women are taught that only a paycheck can furnish intellectual satisfaction and identity. Unpaid work (i.e. homemaking) thus implies intellectual dissatisfaction and a loss of identity. Frankly, it’s my opinion that feminists hate homemaking because it makes their own inadequacies (such as the inability to relate to men or to handle children on a full-time basis) less obvious.
Early feminists somehow felt the need to abolish the traditional family. They did what they had to in order to destroy the sanctity of hearth and home. Of course now that they’ve succeeded, we’re forced to clean up the mess of broken children who turned into juvenile delinquents and procreated another generation of broken children. Congratulations, gals, you really outdid yourselves.
To be continued…
