Many of the other talkers are considered “entertainment”. Michael Savage doesn’t play by the normal rules of Broadcasting, he just shoots from the hip and hits bulls eyes. Since he doesn’t tow any party line, and can’t be easily categorized, he’s a threat to the talking heads on the radio and teleprompter readers on television. The real blacklisting point wasn’t the joke of a production MSNBC set p to fail, but after he called out Bill O’Reilly when he made a offhanded comment suggesting Mike’s show and views were some kind of Act to get a rise out of listeners. This was quite ironic since O’Reilly started his TV career back in the 1980′s as an “anchor” on one of the original sensationalist tabloid TV shows: Inside Edition.
