My Take – For Monday, 12/20/10:
No authority…no problem.
This is Jim Sumpter
While most of the oft-touted advantages of age are overstated, there’s one that there’s just no substitute for the aging-process, as unwelcomed as it might be, and that is the gaining of experience.
For example, I’ve learned that whatever the government describes as a desired end-result, the government actually wants the exact opposite thing to occur.
And the best example of that to most recently come to our attention is the stated end goal of attaining ‘Net Neutrality’.
What the federal government actually wants is control of the ‘net.
What the federal government doesn’t have is authority over the ‘net.
And what isn’t a problem? The government choosing to do whatever it wants to do – regardless of court rulings or direction from Congress.
This is the epitome of tyranny.
And it will either be stopped or our freedoms forever lost.
I’m Jim Sumpter and that’s “My Take”.
