Mosque issue is tough one. I personally think people have the right to build anything they want in this country. However, this doesn’t sit with me. The imam has many radical ties. And there does seem to be a pattern of building Mosque to celebrate terrorist victories. I doubt the proposed mosque is going to be used as a community center.

I cant even believe that people who say that they support our constitution and bill of rights are calling for government intervention in this matter. Government has no business here.

Do we only support the constitution when it is convenient and toss it out when it is not?

If the construction firms and workers refuse to build it, then I will take my hat off to them. It would be a very sad day in the US when government takes it upon itself to regulate religion. Allowing such a thing only sets the stage for persecution of all religions.

If it is built, then I say lets build a synogogue right next door to the mosque , a church on the other side and a buddhist temple across the street. We can call it the interfaith spiritual center.

Seems to me that there would be much less debate if they built a strip club on the site. What is wrong with this picture?

The terrorists have already succeeded in causing the government to trample so many of our privacy rights in the name of homeland security. Lets not hand then our right to religous freedom on a silver platter lest your religion be next.
