Think for a moment. Where are we, and how did we get here? Did anyone see it coming?
Foreclosures on homes are at an all time high with no relief in sight.
Business‘ are closing, just look around town.
Bailouts of banks and the Wall Street debacle followed by huge executive bonuses given out buy the very business that went under.
Golden parachutes “Can’t get the job done so reward them to leave.” Does that make sense?
Unemployment is at an all time high.
Crime is out of control, especially drugs; look at the meth problem in the police logs.
There is an early out for prisoners, being blamed on the lack of space or guards to contain them. Check out what Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County in Arizona has done about his crime problem. Our sheriff should take a lesson on this.
There is a general lack of respect for authority. While the police work hard to apprehend criminals, loop holes in our judicial system helps the criminals get out. What a frustrating job the police must have.
Kids are out of control because of lack of discipline that can be given. A teacher or even a parent must be careful because they can be charged with some crime themselves. The power has shifted; I don’t know about you, however, I feared the feedback at home more than any other place.
The Internet has provided us with a new larger world of communication and also a loss of privacy. Such a deal.
War, it has been going on for years now and with no end in sight, look at the cost. We sure could use that money here at home, don’t you think? Charity begins at home.
Politics are the most confusing to me; Maybe, I just don’t understand how it all works, as I am nothing but a dumb country boy. Why is it that Lobbyists can simply buy off politicians whenever they want something? Maybe if the politicians were required to wear advertising patches like they do in NASCAR I would be able to understand it a little better. Do the politicians really listen to the people or is it just around election time so they can set their platform?
What is the big deal with Obama’s birth certificate; you have it, show it.
Health care reform, that we can’t afford, is being forced down our throats. We do need some kind of adjustments however, what else was attached to that bill that we will find about later? Why pass and then have to change it so quickly? Why don’t they make the bill short and to the point, where we can all understand it?
The 535 in congress really do have some colorful pasts and presents, don’t they? Look that up. And they are representing us the people. Whoa!!
Why are the politicians not forced to be under this new health plan if it so good for us?
I also believe that illegal aliens are covered under this health plan. They are here illegally and we are rewarding them? Is this a punishment for them? It must be, oh wait, we are under it also. But it’s too good for our leaders. What am I missing here?
Didn’t Obama promise transparency in government? When is this going to start?
Where did loyalty and trust go?
I think that maybe the pendulum has swung too far and we should start to take this great nation back! Maybe it is time to start by supporting the proposal of Amendment 28.
