Senator Atkinson’s Political Pandering Makes Me Ill

Is it that Sen. Jason Atkinson actually believes the liberals up north will elect him as Governor someday because he latched on to some phony topic like banning the plastic grocery bag?

I would bet that Atkinson hauls his garbage out to the trash in plastic bags.

I would also bet the Senator and his family used disposable diapers and feminine napkins, both of which are big pollution contributors and bio-hazards as well.

Of course the hypocrites from up on Greenie Mountain wouldn’t find those items as alluring a political tool as the plastic bag non-issue.

If this wasn’t such a desperate time for Oregonians and their struggling families, if the real issues weren’t as complex and debilitating as they are right now, I might ignore this political grandstanding, roll my eyes and move on through the day.

The problem I have with Senator Atkinson is similar to the trouble we have throughout the political process, especially with President Obama.

Unqualified people with zero business experience and minimal life experience get into politics too young and never really get tested by fire.

I find it amusing that Congressman Cooley was run out of town for placing less than 10% of the exaggerations in the voter’s pamphlet as Senator Atkinson.

I can only guess that the reason Atkinson resorts to such pathetic and obvious political pandering is because he assumes that voters are too stupid to get it.

And sadly, he may be right.

I hope the voters will send him into the private sector in search of a real job, just to see if he can live up to his wildly exaggerated resume.
