Gerard Valentino is a published freelance writer and conservative activist in Columbus, Ohio. He is one of the founders of Buckeye Firearms Association, Ohio’s foremost gun-rights group that won the National Rifle Association Grassroots Organization of the Year and the Treasurer of Buckeye Firearms Foundation, one of the groups asked to file an Amicus Brief on the Heller vs. Washington D.C. Supreme Court case that was successful in having the 2nd Amendment affirmed as an individual right.

He served as a military intelligence analyst in the United States Army and in the Ohio National Guard and received a commission in the Ohio National Guard where he served as a communications staff officer for an assault helicopter battalion.
